Do love balls only work with Zan as a partner? Or do they also work without Zan? They have a x8 catch rate right?

I believe love balls only get the 8x catch bonus with Zan as a partner.

Love this guide. I get so much use out of it~

Possible correction for the catch rate of Pansear, Panpour and Pansage - it's listed as 65/300, but from the Pokédex, it seems to be 190 (and that reflects my catching experience :3)

    @cloudfarer

    Oh apparently there is some mistakes in the page where I took those catch rates.
    Pansear, Panpour and Pansage are now in the right post (190/300). I also moved
    Simisage, Simisear and Simipour to the 75/300 post (even though it doesn't really matter, but..)

    This made me really paranoid.. I should probably check everything to make sure they are in the right place..
    (seriously 65 vs 190, the difference is HUGE..)

    -------------------

    ALSO
    If anyone have any idea how I could revamp this thread to add 'with Lyrit (base)' and
    'with Lyrit (base) and Mean Look' catch rates to this guide.. please help me..? ;n;
    I personally think that they cannot be added with the same style as everything is now, because that
    might make this thread too hard to read w/ smaller resolution.

@tilka: That's the only discrepancy I've noticed in all my months of using this -- I really don't think a rehaul is necessary!
So much work on top of all the coding and research effort you've put in already; ovo <3

'with base Lyrit' etc catch rates would make a great addition but since it's a simple +15 to the base catch rate
(as far as I know), maybe you could just include a note in your first post?

I'm on a laptop and there's room to spare for an additional column if you really want to squeeze one in...
i.e. it won't mess up the layout. But I agree that viewing on a phone/other small resolutions might be hard
sorry useless comment is useless

I agree with cloud, I don't think a revamp would be necessary! A note will do fine :)

And I haven't said this yet, but I suppose now is a good time as any: this guide is amazing! I use it just about every time I go hunting and it's just so helpful and organized and I've been throwing this link at /everybody/ and aksjdfdsf. Even if you know how catch rates work/can calculate them yourself this is still incredibly useful. Thank you so much for compiling it! :>

I believe should be "Dive Balls can only be used in Underwater Routes and they have a multiplier of x3.5". A tiny mistake that I just noticed after using this guide for ages :3

Does the increased catch rate of lure balls work when fishing? (Lol should this go in the 'Help' subforum?)

I think the guide is fine! Really awesome.

The catch rate is the same as a poke ball, so x1. Without mean look or maxed lyrit, it's 40%

How does mean look operate with the effect of a lure ball or love ball? Is it added after the partner effect or before?

Mean Look applies directly to the base catch rate of a pokemon, doubling it. So it is added before any partner effects or ball multipliers.

    What do you mean? Could you take print screen or something?
    I haven't made any changes to this since April 2013. So I'm a little bit confused.

They're 0s the same color as the forum, used for spacing. they show up because you changed the background color.
