Hi! Welcome to the General Event Guide where we will cover all the details on various Events, special Giveaways, and a select few parcel Pokemon that, while not events in themselves, are generally considered Event Pokemon by many users and are considered Event by their breeding generation. Please be aware that I will not be mentioning in-game events due to the fact that they're not supposed to be spoiled. If any information is off, please let me know <3 Thanks! As a quick note, Shiny Pokemon will always be shown after the Regular version(s).

Due to the character limit, we're going to make a more...organized thread.

Content List:
1. Intro, Content List, F.A.Q. and 2009 Events

Why do some B/W Pokemon have Cherish Balls?
They were won through an Official Auction/Sale.

Where is the old thread?
Right here!

Open Beta
November 1st, 2009-November 7th, 2009
In commemoration of Open Beta, any users who joined the first week received an Old Sea Map Image. This item allows the user to go to Faraway Island from Lilycove where they can encounter Mew. This is the only way to get Mew besides having luck with Mystery Eggs or Metronome or possibly finding one in the Adoption Center. You may also buy off another user, but you would not get the Pokedex data. The Old Sea Map was re-released during the one year anniversary event.

Christmas 2009
Christmas Pokemon - December 7th-December 26th (at midnight)
To celebrate Christmas, two Pokemon were sent out into the wild with a brand new holiday look for users to find.
Image Image Image Image
Normal and Shiny Christmas SantaDelibird and Normal and Shiny Christmas RudolphStantler
You had a 1/500 chance to find one anytime you refreshed/used the PokeRadar or went to a new map...as long as Pokemon could be found there, anyway. Besides not being able to find them if no Pokemon are there to begin with, you also couldn't find them if they were on a Water Route, you had to use an item (IE: Headbutt), or they were an Event activated Pokemon (Lapras, Eevee, Legendaries). They had the same catch rate and shiny chances as normal Delibird and Stantler (IE: 45/300 for Catch Rate and 1/8,192 for Shiny).
You can still get both of these Pokemon by either buying off another user or breeding one using an Everstone (there is a 2% chance of success). While no shiny Christmas Delibird or Stantler were caught during the Event, it is possible to breed one or put them in a Shiny Ball.

Charity Event - December 10th-December 24th
To encourage the spirit of giving (after all, that's what Christmas is all about!), a Charity Event was made to help out newer users for those who had managed to get a good amount of things and didn't need so much of it anymore. Users could go to their bag, pick an item, and under the "Sell Items" option, there would be a "Donate to Charity" option they could pick. Value of an item was determined by it's sell price. On Christmas Day, new users would randomly be given items that were donated and those users that donated would receive a gift or multiple gifts as well. What you received depended on how much what you donated was worth--the options were:
Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image
Yoll Berry*, Heart Balloon Pichu, Ribbon Azurill, Top Hat Cleffa, and Sunglasses Igglybuff. Each Baby also having a shiny version (to the right of each regular).
You were able to get a Yoll Berry no matter how little you donated, as long as you donated something. However, it's actual value was originally 100, but later changed to 50 Pokedollars. Each Baby Pokemon's value was 1,000 Pokedollars. So, if you donated 1,200 Pokedollars, you'd receive one random Charity Baby and two Yoll Berries. If you donated 5,000 Pokedollars, you would get 4 Charity Babies and a random Shiny one. To guarantee all four babies and all four shiny babies, you needed to donate at least 8K. Any amount from 1-999 Pokedollars would get you a Yoll Berry (or up to 17) instead. You could get multiple sets if you chose to donate 9K+, however, no matter how much you donated after the first 8K, any other baby Pokemon would always be random. You could view how much you donated by checking your PokeGear page. On Christmas Day, a "Special Gifts" tab appeared in a user's inventory if they received anything for donating. They could then get their gifts from there. (The tab would be removed once everything was claimed). The actual donated items (About 3,000) were randomly given out starting the 27th of December.
*Yoll Berry is a special berry made for this event. It can't be planted (and thus, you can't have more than one unless you received more than one), but gives +50 (or more depending on the ball and/or what item it may be holding) Happiness to whichever Pokemon you feed it to. The Berry was re-released during the Christmas 2010 event.

The Great Gacha Shuffle - December 20th
Due to the large amount of Pokemon in the Adoption Center, Shiro randomly transformed the Pokemon into other things--several ending up legendary, to make them more adoptworthy. Also, think of the poor Pokemon there--adopt today!

Santa's Mini Events! - Varied
During the Month of December to help spread holiday cheer, Shiro had random giveaway and trade threads, such as Santa's Grab Bag and Santa's Trade Station. They included event Pokemon and legendaries and even a special Pokemon with a Dazzling Nature which essentially gave a Pokemon the look of having a Book of Llunec without actually having one.

"Easter" 2010 - April 1st-April 30th, 2010 and 2012
The first "Not an event, but the Pokemon is considered a Holiday Event Pokemon to some anyway" "event". One of the donation items for the month was a mysterious pink egg:
Image*
*with the release of the Egg Scope, the Egg no longer is pink.
Upon hatching it, you'd receive an Easter Buneary!
Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image
A male would be holding a star while a female would be holding a heart. They evolve into Lopunny the same as they normally do (Happiness) and have a 1/7 (originally 1/11) chance of being Shiny (The purple ones). They can be bred with an Everstone (with the same shiny chances) and have a 2% chance of success. They can be placed in a Shiny Ball. Bright Powder will not work for them.

The Easter Buneary were brought back in 2012 with a few new rules. You can now get a Choco EggImage from the April 2012 Parcels which when given to a Buneary will cause it to become an Easter Buneary. It will be a permanent item once the month is over for 4DP. There is a 20% chance for a normal Buneary to be shiny when it is used and 100% if it's used on a Shiny Buneary. Like their original counterparts, they can not be bred with Bright or Shiny Powder, however, due to them not being in a Cherish Ball, they can have special natures applied to them.

The Impossible Wishmaster - June 13th to June 16th
During this event, ShiroThe Impossible Wishmaster decided to bestow random people with a shiny retro of their choice. In order to be considered, a user had to post with a retro shiny they wanted (Thus, it had to be retro, and it couldn't be legendary or an event...or any retro Pokemon that has no shiny form) and why--even if the reason was silly. 25 Users were picked through a random generator and received what they asked for.

Gotta Draw 'Em All! - June 17th, 2010-July 29th, 2010
As a fun community project, Shiro made a thread in the art forum for everyone to draw a Pokemon until all 493 were drawn. It took over a month for it to happen, but when it did, Shiro gave everyone who participated (135 Users) a Draw 'Em All Smeargle and the achievement: ImageRenowned Artist
Image
Gender and Nature were chosen randomly. Due to the fact that the Custom Event was going on at the same time (due to how long the event lasted), many users at first were afraid they got someone else's custom by mistake.

Tanabata 2010 - June 30th-July 7th
In Japan, there is a special festival called Tanabata. Besides usual cultural stuff, Japan also has the tendency to do Jirachi-related events that day...and thus, we also got one ourselves! While Pokedex data would not be rewarded from these, you could still find very cute recolored Jirachi in honor of the event. There are a total of 16 different Jirachi--8 normal and 8 shiny. Each came holding a berry (Red, Orange - Petaya Image, Yellow - Jaboca Image, Green - Apicot Image, Cyan - Salac Image, Blue, Purple - Ganlon Image, White - Liechi Image).
Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image
You had a 1/500 chance of finding one and a 1/10 chance of it being Shiny. They could be found anywhere except during usual map Events/Legendaries/etc. They had the same catch rate as a normal Jirachi (3/300). They can not be placed in a Shiny Ball.

Pokémon, I Make You! ...Wait, what? - July 13th, 2010 to August 1st, 2010
Yep, you heard right--a Custom Pokemon Event! The first and last. You can find all the Pokemon listed in the main event topic and all (unless some people asked for their Pokemon to be removed) shown here. Users made before July 30th (though, any users who joined that day who commented before the new rule could still participate) could make their own sprite (or have someone else make it--however, they would have to claim the sprite as their own) of an existing Pokemon (or something close to one) from a Pokemon sprite or from scratch to submit and actually have here on Vdex. They had to be 80x80, a transparent PNG, an actual sprite, and at least be recognizable as a specific Pokemon. You could also not make Shiny Pokemon or have any that were mostly a legendary (IE: You could have a...Pikachu with Zapdos wings, but you couldn't have a Zapdos with Pikachu ears). Gender and Nature were allowed to be picked--however, they could not be a custom nature. Once you got everything set, you'd comment with the Pokemon, Gender, and Nature and make room in your party for it to be dropped off once it was approved and set up. The only way to get a custom Pokemon is to buy one off a user, or possibly find one in the Adoption Center. They can not breed. If a user decides to quit Vdex and participated, they have the option of messaging Shirogane to get their custom removed rather than keeping it on the site.

What Do The Goggles Do? - August 29th, 2010-September 11th, 2010, [b]June 10th, 2012-June 16th, 2012
A random spur of the moment event that Shiro came up with in the shower. No, seriously, she did, go read the first post. The Goggles first appeared in the Secondhand Shop just a bit before Shiro made the official topic. They were 500 Pokedollars each and do absolutely nothing besides giving you a fancy new item:
Image
And the achievement that goes with it: ImageThe Goggles Do Nothing
Despite the randomness of the event, everyone got really into it and a total of 1,100 goggles were sold in the Secondhand shop in random batches. Due to the fact that nobody was able to purchase more than one, many users made posts about managing to get the last pair...except most of those people did not actually do so--they just couldn't see the goggles anymore to check.
The event was brought back on June 10th adding a total of 1,400 goggles making a new overall total of 2,500 goggles sold in the Secondhand shop.

Vegeta, what does the scouter say about the member count - October 4th, 2010-October 22nd, 2010
In celebration of getting OVER 9000! members, Shiro made an event to give users a chance to get one of the legendaries that were currently unobtainable. Each user was given a Grab Bag Image. The items could not be sold (Not that you couldn't, but Shiro would take it away and you'd be banned from the event) and could only be traded for a different grab bag item (a forum being made just for that purpose no less!). Shiro also made a few topics to trade some people as well. The Grab Bag contained one of the following (randomly chosen):
Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image
Azure Flute (Arceus), Clear Bell (Raikou, Suicune, or Entei), Explorer Kit (Regice, Regirock, or Registeel), GS Ball (Celebi), Magma Rock (Heatran), Member Card (Darkrai), Rainbow Wing (Ho-Oh), Red Chain (Mesprit, Uxie, or Azelf), Red Orb (Groudon), Silver Wing (Lugia), or Tide Bell (Regigigas)
To open it, you had to take it to the Fight Area NPC, Erin, who would open it for you. Originally, you were allowed to trade your bag for a brief period of time if you needed someone else to get it opened for you due to the fact that some newer users could not get to the Fight Area yet, however, Shiro then made it so that Erin would also appear Twinleaf and Canalave so all users could easily get to her. You only had until October 7th to open your Grab Bag but you had until the 22nd to catch the Legendary Pokemon you got an item for.

Halloween 2010
Halloween Event - October 24th-November 8th
The Halloween Event introduced a new feature--Berry synthesizing! In order to find Halloween Pokemon, you needed to make Pumpkin Powder Image. Each Halloween Pokemon caught would use up the Pumpkin Powder. To make the powder, you needed one of every single berry (minus the Yoll berry)--all 64. You could then make one from Berry Synthesizing in either Floaroma Meadow or Cherrygrove City (The former only for the duration of the event) by talking to Reed.
ImageImageImageImage ImageImageImageImageImageImage ImageImage ImageImageImageImageImageImage ImageImageImageImage ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage ImageImage ImageImage ImageImageImageImage ImageImage
Drifloon, Drifblim, Duskull, Dusclops, Dusknoir, Froslass, Gastly, Haunter, Gengar, Misdreavus, Mismagius, Rotom (and all of it's forms), Sableye, Shedinja, Shuppet, Banette, and Spiritomb
With Pumpkin Powder, you had a 1/10 chance of finding any of first stage Halloween Pokemon on the map, so you'd have to evolve them for their evolutions. They could be found on any land routes so no water routes or fishing--and as always, things that use an item like Headbutt, Map Events (Like Eevee) or Legendary Summonings, they will not appear. Due to the fact that Froslass and Shedinja are the only ones in their line who are in this event, they had to be found differently. Froslass could be caught by catching a female Snorunt, giving it Pumpkin Powder to hold, and then evolving it normally. Shedinja could be caught in a similar fashion--giving a Nincada a pumpkin powder to hold then evolving it normally with an empty slot in your party. Just like when catching, the Pumpkin Powder is used when evolved. You could not do this for any other Pokemon (IE: Giving a normal Gastly a Pumpkin Powder and evolving it =/= Halloween Haunter). Pumpkin Powder was not allowed to be sold during the event (unless you sold it in the Second Hand Shop), however, you could gift it to other users. You could also trade or sell the berries needed (a special forum was created for users to trade berries with eachother to get them all) and you could sell any Halloween Pokemon you caught as you'd like. All Halloween Pokemon can be bred with an Everstone at a 2% chance of success, however, Froslass and Shedinja require a Heart Gem to be bred (Introduced in February 2012 Parcels). Also, all of them can be placed in a Shiny Ball.

GHOST - October 31st
On October 31st, users who went on the map would be greeted by GHOST, a "Pokemon" with a special ... nature and holding Pumpkin Powder Image, so everyone could get at least one Halloween Pokemon. GHOST can not be nicknamed.
Image
You needed a slot free to catch it (You could put GHOST in a box after, but to actually catch one, you would need an empty slot). If you did not have a slot, it'd still be there waiting, however, GHOST was only here for the one day. When in your party, all your Pokemon and your trainer would appear dead--your trainer becoming translucent like a Ghost with a † before your trainer's name and your Pokemon's sprites being replaced with:
Image and Image
with the usual met and caught data replaced with "In loving memory.".

VDex 1st Anniversary Event - October 31st, 2010-November 30th, 2010
To celebrate VDex's 1st Anniversary, a special event was made! The event allowed users to not only get some special event Pokemon, but get two early legendaries and brought the Old Sea Map Image back so all users could catch a Mew. Users could begin the event immediately by looking for two Yin Yang Mew--a White one (Yang) and a Black one (Yin).
Image Image
The White Mew would be holding a Dark Stone Image while the Black Mew would be holding a Image Light Stone. You could only catch one of each and they could be caught in either order. They could be found anywhere in the map, including towns, as long as you had been to that place before. They are locked wherever they choose to be, so you just need to find their special spot. They will change spots if it escapes from the ball or you refreshed over it. If a Roaming Pokemon appeared instead of Mew, you'd have to recheck that spot. The Yin Yang Mew had the same catch rate as a normal Mew. Once the first was caught, you'd have to recheck everywhere for the second one, though, it was commonly found in towns. Once you have caught both Mew, you will have access to the "Prototype Region" which you can get to from the Starter Town. If you removed both stones from your bag, you will be able to catch the following legendaries:
Image Image Image Image
Reshiram and Zekrom
They had the same chance of being shiny as normal Pokemon, their usual catch rate, and can be put in a Shiny Ball. Each came holding the Old Sea Map and their Dex data will be applied when 5th gen is all set. You can't trade or sell any of these Pokemon (or the items), but you can release them.

Time Travel Event - November 18th, 2010
While not really an event, due to a roll back, all users who had joined before the roll back (anyone who has a user ID under 14638) received a GS Ball Image to catch Celebi and a new achievement: ImageTime Traveler. Those who joined after the User ID #14638 and before Shiro made the topic for the "event", also received a GS Ball but not the achievement.

Christmas 2010
The Lonely One - December 5th-January 1st
This was a fun community quest where users needed to solve the riddle of a Jirachi Hooded NPC at Lake Valor in Sinnoh. The NPC would give you a line of a story and you would have to learn the rest of the lines and organize them in order to finish the story--due to the fact that each user could only get one line, you had to work with at least 29 other users in order to figure out the story. You can find the wonderful community topic here. Upon entering the completed story (on a happy note, you could try testing the story with the NPC as many times as you wanted without punishment so you could guess as much as you wanted):
Spoiler: show
Atop the heavenly tower, the lonely one sleeps.
Unknown, unseen, its heart sealed away.
As strife envelops the land, the lonely one wakes.
Tears turn to rain, wailing to thunder.
With storm comes the calm, and strife is no more.
Leviathan put to sleep, the raging seas quiet.
Behemoth sealed away, the shaking land settles.
To its solitary slumber the lonely one returns.
Climb the heavenly tower, brave one, and open the sacred door.
There you shall find the stairway toward the lonely one's heart.
Two hundred fifty-five stairs conquered, loneliness turns to joy.
Radiant rewards await you, brave one, but take heed!
For the path of greed a true path is not.
Gold turns to dust and effort to waste,
And the lonely one lonely stays.

You could go to 6th floor of the Sky Pillar to catch a Lonely Rayquaza (Sprite could be whichever you decided to refresh for, if you wanted to).
Image
You then needed to get it to max happiness. Once 255 users total managed to get their Rayquaza to max happiness, you could bring it to the NPC who would then "change" it (Sprite type would remain so if you caught a retro, it'd be a shiny version of that Retro):
Image
Yep! It'd become shiny. And not just that, but it'd receive a special nature: Radiant. This Pokemon is not allowed to be sold and trying to sell it will get it taken away.
While not confirmed, it is speculated that this event is dedicated to the poor Rayquaza that was released in Gacha randomly in Spring 2010 that took forever to be adopted. WE LOVE YOU RAYQUAZA.

Special Items - December 6th to December 31st
As a special surprise, we received some special limited items for December and the Yoll berry returned Image.
ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage
When applied:
ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage
Each capsule and the Yoll Berry cost either 1DP or 10,000 Pokedollars. They could be bought from the Donation Shop or Route 217 in Sinnoh. Applying the capsule would cause the Pokemon to get a Snow effect behind them, however, the effect would only show up in big party images, the party page, or the Pokemon's main info page.

Some Guy - December 7th to December 25th
Some Guy has decided to give everyone a Christmas Present! ...as long as you go over to Littleroot and answer his questions anyway. You need to answer at least 3 questions in order to be able to receive a gift. You can not answer more than one question a day and while you can change your answers, you will have to start over and re-answer each question...once a day. There were 7 questions total, the latter 4 affecting certain other attributes. Depending on your answers, you'd receive one of the following (whichever your answers fit the most of...or if evenly spread, done randomly):
ImageImage ImageImage ImageImage ImageImage
Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, or Zorua
If you didn't answer question #7, you would have no chance at a backsprite--the only change you could have in a sprite. They could not be shiny (nor could they be shiny balled), gender will always be Male, and Nature could be determined depending on answers to 4 and 5 (though, would be random otherwise). IVs could also be determined by a user's answer to 6. You needed an empty party slot to pick up your gift.
The questions and their effects:
Spoiler: show
1. So like... which is your favorite color out of these?
Green <-- Snivy
Red <-- Tepig
Blue <-- Oshawott
Black <-- Zorua

2. Okay like... if you were an animal, which of these would be your relatives?
Weasels <-- Oshawott
Geckos <-- Snivy
Dogs <-- Zorua
Boars <-- Tepig

3. Okay so... which of the starter types do you like best?
None, really <-- Zorua
Water <-- Oshawott
Fire <-- Tepig
Grass <-- Grass
4. Tell me... what do you value most when fighting?
Raw power
Being able to take hits
Dishing out strong special attacks
Good defense against special attacks
Moving first
Nothing, I like balance

^This would determine which berry your Pokemon likes best, and thus, a chance at one of those natures. Picking options that would cancel eachother out would give a random nature while picking neutral options would give your Pokemon a neutral nature.

5. I'm kinda curious... what do you value least when fighting?
Raw power
Being able to take hits
Dishing out strong special attacks
Good defense against special attacks
Moving first
Nothing, I like balance

^This would determine which berry your Pokemon likes least, and thus, narrows the nature down much more. Picking options that would cancel eachother out would give a random nature while picking neutral options would give your Pokemon a neutral nature.

6. Say... what's more important to you, health or power?
Health <-- gives 20-31 IVs in HP, Defense, and S. Defense with 0-20 in others
Power <-- gives 20-31 IVs in Attack, Special Attack, and Speed with 0-20 in others

7. ...Last one, promise. Which do you think is more important?
Looking ahead <-- Front Sprite
Looking back <-- Back Sprite

Decorating - December 7th to December 26th
Time for the usual color pallet swap! Go find more Pokemon in the wild! Anyway this event, while having a lot less than the Halloween Event (thankgod), had it's own special quirks. You had a 1/1000 chance of finding the following Pokemon:
ImageImageImageImage ImageImageImageImage
Ornament Voltorb, Ornament Electrode, Tree Topper Staryu, Tree Topper Starmie
They had the same chances of being shiny as Normal Pokemon. Voltorb could only be found on Land Routes while Staryu could only be found on Water routes. As usual, you can't find when using an item or event places or etc. Both come holding a Rare Candy. They are tradelocked if caught, but when bred with an Everstone (2% chance of success), they can be traded.
If you put a Ornament Voltorb/Electrode and a Tree Topper Staryu/Starmie together in your party and evolve a Bonsly (it evolves the same way as always--holding the TM Mimic), you will receive a special Christmas Tree Sudowoodo (and no, you won't lose your Christmas 2010 Pokemon):
Image Image Image Image
If you evolve a Shiny Bonsly, you will receive a Shiny Christmas Tree Sudowoodo. All the Pokemon can be placed in a Shiny Ball. Christmas Tree Sudowoodo could also be bred with an Everstone (as long as it's not holding a Rock Incense). Like Voltorb/Electrode and Staryu/Starmie, it can't be traded unless it was bred. It is still possible to evolve a Bonsly into a Christmas Tree Sudowoodo as long as those Pokemon are put in your party when evolving them.
----As a nice bonus, Shiro made a small event to give away some Event Pokemon that were released to those who didn't manage to catch any.

"Winter 2011 Event" - January 1st-January 31st
The January 2011 Donation Package introduced users to a new donation recolor--the Strange Egg which hatched Winter Eevee. It would take 10,000 "steps" to hatch and had a 10% chance of being shiny. They can be Everstone bred at a 5% chance. The Eevee could be evolved normally and can be placed in a Shiny Ball. Bright Powder will not work for them.
ImageImage ImageImage ImageImage ImageImage ImageImage ImageImage ImageImage ImageImage
Eevee, Vaporeon, Flareon, Jolteon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Glaceon
This is the first in a series of 4 Seasonal Eevee.

Medical Emergency Event - January 30th, 2011 to February 28th, 2011 OR when there's enough money for the bill to be fully paid--whichever is sooner
Due to a medical mishap for Shiro, there's a special fund to help raise money for the bill specifically so not too much has to be taken out of the site's funds. In order to help, you may purchase a special Nurse Chansey or a Shiny Nurse Chansey here. However, you can't actually view the page unless you have at least 6DP.
Image Image
Nurse Chansey costs 6DP while Shiny Nurse Chansey costs 14DP. Nature is chosen randomly, it'll always be female, they can not be traded (they are bound to your account), and they can not be bred.

Valentine's Day 2011
Love Budew - February 1st to February 28th
Just like the Winter Eevee and Easter Buneary, we now have THE LOVE BUDEW! Share those roses with the ones you love <3 Love Budew has a 1/7 chance of being Shiny and can be male or female (with a 50/50 chance).
Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image
Budew, Roselia, Roserade
They can be everstone bred with a 5% chance of success. However, to successfully get one, not only do you need a Love Roselia/Roserade holding an Everstone, you also need either a Normal OR Love Roselia/Roserade with a Rose Incense. Bright Powder will not work for them.

Valentine's Day Event - February 8th to February 10th Continued February 15th to February 24th
Welcome to the Valentine's Event! This event completely relies on cooperation--at least for the first part! In order to start finding the Valentine Vulpix below, you need to receive a Chocolate Heart Image. Chocolate Hearts are used up when you catch one, however, they will remain after the event and will be useful battle items in the future.
ImageImageImageImageImage ImageImageImageImageImage
You have a 1/500 chance to find a Valentine Vulpix and a 1/5 chance of that (so 1/2500 total) to find a Shiny one. These Vulpix CAN NOT evolve. As usual, they only appear on land routes and of course, they won't appear when using an item/map event Pokemon.
To earn Chocolate Hearts, there are two ways--both relying on other people. The first is to receive Valentines from various users. You could try sending to users randomly and hope they send back and/or post in a thread like this if you don't know a lot of people or just want to spread the love and friendship. Another way to receive a Chocolate Heart is to buy someone's Vulpix or be gifted one. While it will be bounded to your account automatically, it'll come carrying a Chocolate Heart. If you manage to get all 5 different colors in your party (Shiny or Normal doesn't matter--just needs to be one in each color), you will be able to find two special Vulpix...
Image Image Image Image
The Vulpix have the same catch rate has above. The Black is the Shiny version. While you can't catch the Ninetales in the Wild, these Vulpix CAN evolve into Ninetales with a Fire Stone.
These Vulpix also come with a special bonus--when you give them scarves (Image Red Scarf, Image Yellow Scarf, Image Green Scarf, Image Blue Scarf, Image Pink Scarf) to hold, they will receive a matching ribbon (the color of the scarf) around their neck:
ImageImageImageImageImage ImageImageImageImageImage

These special Vulpix (both the ones with and without the neck ribbons/scarves) do not get account locked when traded, but they also do not come with a Chocolate Heart. All the Vulpix and Ninetales have a 2% success rate when Everstone bred. They have a regular chance at being shiny, but Bright Powder still has no effect on them. What color Vulpix you get depends on which one is holding the Everstone. If your Vulpix has a scarf/ribbon, the sprite bred will not have one, even if it gets the color. Valentine Vulpix have the same catch rate has normal Vulpix.
On the 10th of February, due to insane lag because of everyone wanting to spread the love, the event was put on hold. The event was resumed on February 15th after a server update and extended a week from the original end date, now ending on February 24th.

Gen 5's Release
In honor of the games coming out in places other than Japan and being brought over to Vdex, some Giveaways were done by Shiro in order for various Gen 5 Pokemon to get out in the open a bit more.

Tirtouga/Archen Giveaway - March 7th
Tirtouga and Archen are the two fossil Pokemon of Generation 5. With the only way to get fossils in the game through Ash, Gacha, and Thief, this meant that it may take a while to get them and with those ways not being compatible with Gen 5 yet, they're essentially impossible to get. So, Shiro decided to give away 15 of each (for a total of 30), all female, for users to breed for others. However, there were terms--for example, a user could not pick which they got (Shiro picked randomly) and you could not make a profit off them--you could only ask for the retrieval price AT MOST, until the fossils could be gotten in-game. You also had to be able to trade. Anyway, the first few users who posted each time would get either Tirtouga or Archen sent out (and would have to breed them for themselves to get the Pokedex data). Due to the mass amount of users, Shiro gave out a few extras of each of the Pokemon.

Liberty Pass Giveaway FOR NINJAS - March 10th to March 21st
This event was a supreme speed test--a test to be a Ninja. A super fast Ninja. Of Ninja-ness. Anyway, to get a Liberty Pass Image (which allows you to find and catch Victini), you had to be the first to post a Ninja after Shiro posted. Eventually, to make it take a little longer, Shiro added a few additional rules--including that a user had to follow the instructions in her post (Example: Dancing Ninja--you had to post a Ninja that was dancing, any other Ninja would not count, even if you were first) and that you could not post a Ninjask or Shedinja (sorry, Nincada isn't Ninja enough) that was linked from Vdex even if it fits the current instructions. No matter what, the post would HAVE to include a shown image. Broken images or images that showed up with a hot link or error would also cause you to lose and not count. If you were first, you would receive a Liberty Pass in your inventory, however, if you did not catch Victini before 24 hours after the event ended and the topic was permanently locked, the Liberty Pass would be taken away. You were not allowed to sell the Liberty Pass, however, you could give it to a friend or a stranger as long as it was for free. Users who posted really creative/awesome/unique ninjas (IE: Ones they made themselves or even ones of themselves) also could receive a pass as a bonus for pure awesome ninja-ing. Some passes were also given out randomly. At the end, 5 passes would be given out to slower ninjas who didn't manage to win a pass. Unlike other items that involve taking you to a new location, you can actually go back to Liberty Island whenever you'd like by putting it into the URL (aka how Fly works in this game). You just can not find Victini again without another Liberty Pass.

Random Legendary Egg - March 23rd to ???
After a random giveaway for one Meloetta egg on March 22nd, Shiro made a topic where anyone who enters has a chance to receive a random legendary gacha egg. You can get a legendary you already have, but this helps give a chance to get them around more. All legendaries will be account-bounded and users are only given three days maximum to confirm a trade.

Regirock - March 30th to April 8th
After Veregna won the first egg, a Regirock, from the giveaway thread, they immediately decided to name it in a way to taunt Vdex's Regirock NPC. This taunting continued through the thread in which everyone joined in, including Shiro herself, and caused her to show off this Regirock. Originally named NO GO AWAY. (later changed to Regirock with NO GO AWAY. becoming it's description blurb), it would say it didn't really like milk and was later changed tell off anyone who would give it milk (Regirock did not like the MooMoo Milk!! AT ALL!! GO AWAY.)...but not accept anything else (simply saying GO AWAY). Soon after, Regirock's sprite was changed.
Image
Due to the popularity, a achievement came about: Image FFFFUUUUUUUU. In order to get the achievement, you needed to give the special Regirock 1 Milk. Due to the mass amount of feeders (and people feeding multiple times), the list was wiped when the achievement was implemented so everyone could have a chance and those who already fed him could get it. The Event ended when Regirock hit level 100. There is a chance the list will be wiped in the future to give others a chance.

"Spring 2011 Event" - April 1st to April 30th
The April 2011 Donation Package introduced users to another new donation recolor--the second Strange Egg to hatch a type of Seasonal Eevee--the Spring Eevee. It would take 10,000 "steps" to hatch and had a 10% chance of being shiny. They can be Everstone bred at a 5% chance. The Eevee could be evolved normally and can be placed in a Shiny Ball. Bright Powder will not work for them.
Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image
Eevee, Vaporeon, Flareon, Jolteon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Glaceon
This is the second in a series of 4 Seasonal Eevee.

(Easter 2011)MYSTERIOUSLY MYSTERIOUS MYSTERIES (of mystery and wonder) TEAM CHOCOLATE - April 15th to April 2425th at 12PM GMT-3 for Team Events, to the rest of the 25th and the 26th for catching in general (Special Sign-Up April 10th to April 14th)
The Easter Event was announced on April 10th with very vague information. If you sign up before midnight on April 14th (turning into April 15th), you would be eligible for an extra part of the event (Which you can quit at anytime). The only details given at this time were that there'd be an achievement depending on what you did and that it involved the usual color switching of Pokemon.
On the evening of April 10th, some details were given: That food (like berries) would come in handy for those who decided to sign up for the other part of the event. No rare berries (Like Halloween) will be needed--instead, it's essentially any food, including berries you can just buy from the shop.
On April 11th, more details were given about achievements--there will be several during the event, and while hard to unlock all of them, it will be possible. There will be more after the event, however, it will be impossible to unlock all of them. All achievements are optional and will have to be unlocked like usual achievements if you want to show them. We were also told everyone would receive 6 Choco Balls Image at the start of the event and the Mysterious subforum had each of their topics updated with a picture of a Mareep:
Image Image Image Image Image Image
Milk Chocolate Mareep, Dark Chocolate Mareep, White Chocolate Mareep, Mint Chocolate Mareep, Strawberry Chocolate Mareep, Potassium Cyanide Mareep
On April 12th, the rest of the Mareep family were revealed:
Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image Image
Milk Chocolate Flaaffy, Milk Chocolate Ampharos, Dark Chocolate Flaaffy, Dark Chocolate Ampharos, White Chocolate Flaaffy, White Chocolate Ampharos, Mint Chocolate Flaaffy, Mint Chocolate Ampharos, Strawberry Chocolate Flaaffy, Strawberry Chocolate Ampharos, Potassium Cyanide Flaaffy, Potassium Cyanide Ampharos
On April 13th, the sign up page was updated for users to pick one of the flavors (all except Blue listed). Due to panicking, Shiro clarified that your choice would not effect the Pokemon you'll be able to find/catch. More info was also given on the Choco Balls and events with two of the placeholder posts being updated. Choco Balls will only be available during the event and have a 3x catch rate. They cost 2K each and can be found at any PokeMart during the event. They can not be sold or traded, but you will be able to keep them after the event. The achievement info is as followed:
1. You can only get one of a certain achievement and is unlockable at the end of the event. It depends on the flavor your chose/are assigned, but may change depending on circumstances not yet mentioned. If you quit, you get the "Unsure" achievement.
2. The first 5 achievements are only available if you sign up prior to the event starting. You can't pick or be assigned a flavor after that. The last two can be achieved by anyone who signs up, though.
3. You have to unlock them yourself, so if you don't want people seeing what you got, just don't unlock them.
4. The following achievements have been shown thus far:
Milky - Milk Chocolate
70% Cocoa - Dark Chocolate
Creme - White Chocolate
Minty - Mint Chocolate
Sweet 'n' Sour - Strawberry Chocolate
Unsure - Quit event
On April 14th, the rest of the event details were given: The actual Event name is Team Chocolate. The blue Mareep are Potassium Cyanide which leads to the final achievement for the above category: Bitter Almonds. The achievement depends on which team you picked--You can Bitter Almonds by switching over to the Potassium Cyanide Team. You can join the Potassium Cyanide Team even if you don't sign up right away by catching a Potassium Cyanide Mareep--however, the 5 Chocolate teams require you to sign up beforehand. To find a Potassium Cyanide Mareep, you need to have a Poison Pokemon in your party. The more Poison Pokemon you have, the higher the chance (Whether it's pure poison or part poison (and if it's primary or secondary) also play a part in the chances). You have a 1/1000 chance of finding any of the other Mareep, though, if you have a Choco Ball, the chances increase to 1/100. Easter Mareep can only be found on Land Routes. This brings us to the next set of achievements--the Catching Achievements:
Sweet - Caught Milk Chocolate Mareep
Bittersweet - Caught Dark Chocolate Mareep
Cocoa Butter - Caught White Chocolate Mareep
Hint of Mint - Caught Mint Chocolate Mareep
Fruity Flavor - Caught Strawberry Chocolate Mareep
Don't Eat It! - Caught the elusive Potassium Cyanide Mareep
Chocoholic - Caught all chocolate Mareep
Lethality - Caught only Potassium Cyanide Mareep (To get this and still get the rest, you must either catch a Potassium Cyanide Mareep during the last day of the event (after the team stuff is over) with your other Mareep traded somewhere temporarily or released OR Hatch a Potassium Cyanide Mareep during the event (once again, you will need to trade your other Mareep temporarily). Please realize if you catch one any other day, you will become part of Team Potassium Cyanide)
These achievements can be unlocked during the event. However, the other sets of achievements (including the first set reveiled) can only be unlocked when the event ends:
Individual Performance Achievements:
One For All - 2000 or more points
Take It For The Team - 1000 to 1999 points
Teamwork - 500 to 999 points
Part of the Team - 100 to 499 points
Team Slacker - 1 to 99 points
What is Effort? - no points (Don't catch any at all)
Neutrality - no points (Catch Mareep, but manage to get 0)
Teams, Who Needs Them - -1 to -99 points
Sneaky - -100 to -499 points
Team Be Damned - -500 to -999 points
Turncoat - -1000 to -1999 points
Backstabber - -2000 or fewer points
You can earn as many of the positive as you can that your score allows--same goes for the negative. However, you can only earn the positive if your score is positive at the end and you can only earn the negative if your score is negative at the end. To earn the no points achievements, you have to have 0 points and do what they say.
Team Performance Achievements:
All For One - Positive number of points for all team members combined
Every Man For Himself - Negative number of points for all team members combined (You will get these if you're on Team Potassium Cyanide as that will always give you negative points and so will catching any other kind)
Team Member Count:
Full House - Part of the team with the most members
Sounds Like Crickets - Part of the team with the least members
Comfortable - Part of other teams
Catching Mareep that are the color of your Team in a Choco Ball earn you 50 points. Catching in a different ball earn you 10 points. Catch anything that isn't a different team Mareep in a Choco Ball gets you 5 points. Catch a different team Mareep in a Choco Ball (originally any ball) will cause you to lose 50 points while catching a different team Mareep in any ball besides Choco will only cause you to lose 10 points (this was added later). Also added later was the ability to earn points from evolving your Team Color's Mareep--5 and 10 points respectively for Team Color Mareep in a Choco Ball and 1 and 2 points for your Team Color Mareep in any other ball. Obviously, doing these things with another team color would cause you to lose those points. The cheapest way to get the 2K achievement would be to get 182 Pokeballs (10 at a Time) which would cost 36,400 and net you 18 free Premier balls (if you do it 10 at a time) and only catch your team's color. Then, to get the other kinds, you would trade your extras (As you'll have 197 extra) for the other colors you need.
If you don't want to use that many balls (And I would not blame you) or have that many Mareep considering that is roughly 5 boxes of space you'd need... Then you can catch just 40 Mareep with Choco Balls (which would cost 80K) and then trade.
However, if you want all the achievements, you would have to catch the other Mareep yourself which would end up being -250 Minimum (depending on how many of each you want, it would go up--this number is only if you caught one of each). Similarly, if you decide to level them, while you would be able to cross-off one from leveling one of your team color, the other 4 would not be (even if you continued to level up one of your team color, you'd need at least two of your team color to be able to level it up enough for all of them...even more so if you went for a full set--or you could just catch 4 more of your team color in a Choco Ball or 20 more of your team color in any other ball). It is possible to get everything yourself, it's just a lot of work and a lot of catching...and costs like 100K to make up for whatever you catch of other teams. However, if you're really worried about leveling points, you can do a tradeback for the Mareep as trading a Mareep causes it to no longer give or remove points from you, regardless if it was yours to begin with. To earn (or lose) points, you must have caught it, have it in your possession, and have never traded it.
Regardless if you're part of a team or not, you also earn Choco Points at these values:
Catching Easter Mareep - 10 Points
Catching anything else in a Choco Ball - 5 Points
Catching Easter Mareep in a Choco Ball - 20 Points
You will be able to get something special at the end with the points you earn. These do not go towards achievements (Team Points = Achievements, Choco Points = Rewards).
Choco Point Rewards and Costs:
1 point - Cheap Berry Set (10x each of Cheri, Chesto, Pecha, Aspear and Rawst)
50 points - Pokéball Set (5x Pokéball, 2x Great Ball, 1x Ultra Ball)
100 points - 1 random legendary (Can't be shiny, may be one you have)
150 points - Random Berry Set (10 random berries, can't be the ones you can buy at Pokemarts)
200 points - 1 random legendary you don't own (Can't be shiny, but could be one you have roaming or the summoning item for)
300 points - Rare Berry Set (5x each of Enigma, Micle, Custap, Rowap and Jaboca)
400 points - 1 legendary of choice (Can't be shiny)
500 points - 2 random legendaries (Can't be shiny, can be ones you already own)
750 points - 1 random shiny legendary (May be one you already own)
1000 points - 1 shiny legendary of choice
As a bonus for those who participated in Teams, for every 100 or -100 Team Points you got at the end, you would receive one of the following (depending on the Team you are on): Milk ChocolateImage, Dark ChocolateImage, White ChocolateImage, Mint ChocolateImage, Strawberry ChocolateImage, or Potassium CyanideImage. If you are inbetween -100 and 100, you'll still receive one.
On April 24th, Shiro announced that if all the teams (minus Potassium Cyanide) get an overall total of 400K+, a bonus reward would be given to everyone (including Potassium Cyanide). Similarly, if Potassium Cyanide reached a total of -400K, another bonus reward would be given. Potassium Cyanide's goal was reached when this was announced while the other teams' goal was still completed by the time the event ended. The special prizes were special Pokecell trainer avatars:

THE VERY SAD May 2011 - May 1st to May 31st
Due to issues with Paypal from various members, a lot of issues were brought up because Paypal likes to be stupid. Things that could interfere with the site being able to get donations and other things. Because of this, the Sad Egg was made, based off this horrifically sad comic that will make you cry if you have any kind of heart.
Image Image Image Image
Sad Bidoof, Sad Shiny Bidoof, Sad Bidoof in a Box, Sad Shiny Bidoof in a Box
You have a 20% chance of getting the Sad Bidoof in a box sprite. It has the usual higher chances of being shiny if you get it from a Sad Egg only. Sad Bidoof can be bred with an everstone at 2% chance of success of breeding Sad Bidoof. Sad Bidoof in Box Sprites can only be bred by other Sad Bidoof in Boxes at a 1% chance of success. They can not evolve.

HURTIVENTURES - The Adventures of HURTINATOR in Shiny Land - May 9th to July 17th
HURTINATOR is going on a journey with Sassy Friend through Shiny Land, a version of the Pokemon World where every Pokemon is Shiny due to his love of shiny things. However, he also wants to be the very best, and thus, has decided any Pokemon that loses will be thrown into a box forever. Sassy Friend does not agree with this and convinced HURTINATOR to give these Pokemon away to good homes and thus, all Pokemon that lose until HURTINATOR completes his goal will be given away. HURTINATOR will only catch one Pokemon per area. He will visit every Map and region, however, once. He catches 4-5 Pokemon a day, and as hinted at, every single one he catches is Shiny. When HURTINATOR has visited every map OR made his team of epicness (Full PC Box (42 Pokemon) of level 100 battlers), his adventures will end. However, HURTINATOR will not just give up the Pokemon that have lost--you must convince HURTINATOR why you should receive the Pokemon you ask for. Every Pokemon comes with an adorable nickname for you to love and cherish just like HURTINATOR did. All Pokemon given were account bound.

The event was closed early due to a lot going on.

June 2011 Pokemon - June 1st to June 30th

They have a 10% higher chance of being shiny when gotten from a Mystery Package and can be bred with an Everstone at the usual 2% rate of success.

In January 2013 and February 2013 Parcels, a Light SwordImage and a Dark SwordImage were released to be used on Ralts to get a Dark or Light Ralts.

Special Natures/Battle Items Giveaway - June 3rd to July 17th
While Shiro is busy, she decided to do a more straightforward giveaway as she adds the type-enhancing items to the site for the battle system. To get some out there, she will be offering special Pokemon with a special nature related to the type of item being given out. 5 Pokemon will be given out at a time until she decides to start giving out a next set of items. You can only ask for one Pokemon per item set, but can try as many times as you'd like in a set to get a Pokemon as long as you have yet to. The natures and what the Pokemon may come with:
Fragrant - Grass GemImage OR Miracle SeedImage.
Burninating - Fire GemImage OR CharcoalImage
GAR - Fighting GemImage OR Black BeltImage
Airhead Flying GemImage OR Sharp BeakImage

Bubbly - Water GemImage OR Mystic WaterImage

The event was closed early due to a lot going on.

"Summer 2011 Event" - July 1st to July 31st
The July 2011 Donation Package introduced users to another new donation recolor--the third Strange Egg to hatch a type of Seasonal Eevee--the Summer Eevee.
This is the third in a series of 4 Seasonal Eevee.

Tanabata 2011 Part 1 - Wish Tag - July 1st to July 7th
Tanabata has two parts this year and the first is giving everyone a Wish TagImage which works similar to the Grab Bag--you can take it to a NPC to get a currently unobtainable legendary summoning item. Pokemon not included are ones with big events (Celebi, Mew, Reshiram, Zekrom) and ones that don't have an item yet. Users have until July 7th to get their Summoning items and have until the 14th to use them. Same rules as the Grab Bag event apply with one exception: Roamers WILL disappear on the 14th if you do not catch them by then.

Tanabata 2011 Part 2/Main Event - July 7th to July 31st
The Wish Tag, now removed from anyone who didn't get their legendary item, can now be gotten by catching the special Event Pokemon. If you catch them, trading the Wish Tags in can get you these items:
ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage ImageImageImageImage ImageImage ImageImage
Draco Plate, Dread Plate, Earth Plate, Fist Plate, Flame Plate, Icicle Plate, Insect Plate, Iron Plate, Meadow Plate, Mind Plate, Sky Plate, Splash Plate, Spooky Plate, Stone Plate, Toxic Plate, Zap Plate, Gray Meteorite, Pink Meteorite, Red Meteorite, Golden Meteorite, Cover Fossil, Plume Fossil, Pearl, Stardust

The Pokemon:
Image Image Image Image
Wish Wynaut, Shiny Wish Wynaut, Wish Jirachi, Shiny Wish Jirachi

Wish Wynaut has a 1/500 chance of appearing on ANY LAND routes and a 1/3 chance of holding a Wish Tag. Wish Jirachi appears at the same ratio as normal Jirachi does only on Mirage Island: 1/1000. It has a 50% of being a Wish Jirachi instead of a normal one along with a 50% chance of being shiny. Wish Jirachi will always have a wish tag. Catch rates are the same for both Pokemon. Because Wish Jirachi is caught on Mirage Island with the same chances as a Normal Jirachi, you WILL get dex data from it if you haven't yet. Wish Wynaut is only available to catch until July 16th while Wish Jirachi will be around for the entire event on Mirage Island.

The Love and Frolicking Month of August - August 1st to August 31st
This month features a few...unique ways to get Pokemon. Not exactly through eggs, but through....well, items. And then eggs. For at least most of them. The first we have is the Zan BallImage which, when attached to a Ditto or Shiny Ditto, will result in the appropriate Ditto of questionable virtue:
Image Image
You can not get them any other way.
Then, we have the HSOWA ScaleImage which when a Skitty or Wailord holds one and breeds with the other, you will get either a Wailitty/Wailatty (The Skitty/Delcatty looking ones) OR a Skitmer/Skitlord (The Wailord/Wailmer looking ones). The item is consumed when you withdraw the egg. They can be BP bred.

AYE, SIR! (Part 1) - August 12th to August 19th
Also know as AYE, SHR (Ask and YE SHall Receive). Due to SHR sounding like SIR, it was switched to SIR for the proper name as to not sound like a drunken pirate. This event is based off the poll results given on which Pokemon that users would like to see as pallet swap events. The Winners were Litwick, Absol, Shinx, Ponyta, and Pikachu. The first part of the event features recolored Shinx and the rest of their line.

AYE, SIR! (Part 2) - August 19th to August 26th
Just like Part 1, except now with Cotton Candy-colored Ponyta! Woo :D The differences are, however, the appearance rates. All besides the rainbow have a catch rate of 1/450 Chance of showing up. The Rainbow Ponyta is lower, however, if you have one of each color Ponyta (Pink, Purple, Blue, Green, Yellow) in your party, the Rainbow Ponyta will have the same 1/450 appearance rate. There is a 1 in 3 chance of a Ponyta being the shiny version.

Just like parts 1 and 2, but with the Pikachu Family line! The Pichu have a 1/500 chance of being found and a 1/3 chance (1/750) of being Shiny. Each Elementalchu is not only Electric, but also their Element in the sprite recolors (IE: Firechu is Electric/Fire). Each also comes with a special move. Fire gets Blast Burn, Grass gets Frenzy Plant, and Water gets Hydro Canon. Any other moves are only usual Pichu/Pikachu/Raichu moves. Only caught (and adopted if they were originally caught) Pichu will have these special moves, though bred ones will still get the special type.

September 2011 Donation Pokemon - September 1st to September 30th
As hinted at previously, we are presented with Pikachu of many different hats. If you give an HGSS or HGSS2 Pikachu a Trainer IDImage, you will get a member of the Pikachu line who really wants to catch them all. To get the Shiny ones, you will need to use the ID on a Shiny HGSS or HGSS2 Pikachu, HOWEVER, you also have a 10% chance of getting the Shiny sprite when using the ID on a normal HGSS or HGSS2 Pikachu.

Data Corruption - September 25th to October 10th, 2011
Corrupt Absol will be running around Land routes on the map. They have a .05% (1/2000) chance of appearing with a 50% chance of it being Shiny. Same as Absol otherwise and Fluffy Tail and Odor Sleuth do not work.
Image Image
When you catch one, it will be holding a ?ellImage which is a corrupt item that can be given here. If you proceed, you will use up one of them. Once you have used one, Corrupt Absol will be removed from the map and you may encounter Shadow Legendary Dogs instead.
ImageImage ImageImage ImageImage
Shadow Dogs have the same appearance rate as Absol (also land routes--they are not roamers like their Normal selves) but can go up to a 1/1000 (.1%) chance if you give more of the corrupt Bells. 3 brings it up to 1/1700 and 10 brings it up to 1/1000. Same catch rate as their normal counterparts. You can not bring it up higher than that even if you use more. Each time you catch one, a Corrupt Bells effect is removed. If you only have 1 left and catch one, Corrupt Absol will start showing up again. Which dogs show up depend on the days. Unlike most events, the time for this event went by GMT.
Raikou will appear on the 26th and 29th of September. Extended dates are October 2nd, 5th, and 8th.
Entei will appear on the 27th and 30th of September. Extended dates are October 3rd, 6th, and 9th.
Suicune will appear on the 28th of September and October 1st. Extended dates are October 4th, 7th, and 10th.
The date may be extended depending on how many are caught. If a total of 5,000 Corrupted Bells (?ell) are used before October 1st, a new Absol will be available for a single day after the event and will hold Clear Bells which will allow you to summon the normal counterparts of the dogs. The days the dogs appear go by GMT.

Late on September 26th, Absol's catch rate was doubled from 30 to 60 (Mean Look's bonus being nullified) until the 29th. There was a poll on the 27th on whether to simplify the event or keep it as is--the latter won. It was also mentioned the event would most likely be extended. From September 30th to October 2nd, if a ?ell is triggered, you can still find Absol along with the Shadow Dogs. The extension length was announced on the 30th. They will stop appearing altogether on the 10th. Also on the 30th, Absol would appear alongside Shadow Dogs (if you have used at least one ?ell) until the 2nd of October (and then again until October 5th). There will also be a giveaway at the end of the event for users who weren't able to catch a Shadow Dog. Everyone is guaranteed one from it if you did not get a Shadow Dog from the event. ?ells ceased being tradeable starting October 6th.

The 5,000 Goal was hit on October 5th, 2011 which means the following special Absol holding Clear Bells could be caught from October 10th-October 20th:
Image Image
There is a limit of 6 Clear Bells total per person and 2 Clear Bells per person a day (You may not catch more than 2 Absol a day. Once you've gotten 6 Clear Bells, Absol will no longer be holding them). The Absol have an appearance rate of 1/500 and their catch rate is 100% regardless of the Pokeball used. Clear Bells will be tradelocked (though, the Absol and legendary dogs won't be). There is a 50% chance of being shiny when found on the map.

October 2011 Donation Parcels/"Autumn 2011 Event" - October 1st to October 31st, 2011
The final installment of the Seasonal Eevee--Autumn.

No difference than the others in any way besides the colors :) Best of luck to all!

Halloween - October 20th-31st, 2011
The winner of the AYE, SIR polls was Litwick who was made the Pokemon for the Halloween Event. For the first time for a normal event (2nd time with Event Pokemon in general--first being HSOWA), these can only be gotten through breeding.
Image Image Image Image Image Image
Litwick | Lampent | Chandelure | Litwick ★ | Lampent ★ | Chandelure ★
They are gotten by filling the following 2 conditions:
1. Have a male and female Litwick (or it's evolutions) in the daycare.
2. Have something "creepy" about your account.

Condition 2 is fulfilled if you get this message when you go to the daycare: "something creepy's in the air".
There are many different ways to fill Condition 2, but the "normal" way is to fill your party with Litwick. If all the different ways are figured out by the community, there will be a special bonus* (similar to last year's GHOST) on the 31st (though, possibly sooner if figured out sooner). For those who were not around last year, you will be able to get a GHOST on the 31st--this also applies to people who have released theirs and/or there is no GHOST with you as an OT.

If both conditions are fulfilled, every egg you get WILL be a Halloween Litwick. Compatibility is fixed and will never rise above level 2 which means eggs will appear every 20 hours. There is a 10% chance to be shiny which will stay even after the event is over. However, to get Halloween Litwick once the event is over you will need to use an Everstone. Due to the fact that the event ends on the 31st, the max amount of eggs someone can have is ~13.

*Within a few hours of the event starting 2/3 bonuses were earned and implemented on the 21st. The final bonus was earned on the 23rd and was implemented on the 24th.
Bonus 1:

Shiny: 2% chance on Map only.

Bonus 2:

November 2011 Donation Parcels - November 1st to November 30th, 2011
We have two special Form-changing items this month. The Pegasus PlumeImage and the 4-Koma The Pegasus Plume can be used on HGSS or HGSS2 Ponyta only to get one of the ones below:
ImageImage ImageImage
Pegasus Ponyta | Pegasus Rapidash | Pegasus Ponyta ★ | Pegasus Rapidash ★
When used on a normal Ponyta, you have a 10% chance to get a Shiny Version. Obviously, using it on a Shiny Ponyta will guarantee you the Shiny Ponyta version. The only way to get the Rapidash is to evolve a Ponyta who has had a plume used.
The 4-Koma will change your Ditto to one of following and give it a Nyoro~n nature:
Image Image
Nyoro~n Ditto | Nyoro~n Ditto ★
Like the Ponyta, it has the 10% chance to be Shiny when used on a Normal Ditto and the guaranteed Shiny when used on a Shiny Ditto. Unlike the Ponyta, however, you can not pass down the sprites to get these Ditto through Everstone breeding (you can breed the nature though).

Also, every member in November received a single Party HatImage to celebrate Vdex's anniversary. It can be given to a Pokemon in your box to cause them to level at 25% of the rate if they were in your party.

The Pegasus Plume was released again in October 2012, now called the Synthetic Pegasus PlumeImage. Despite the different name and look, it does the same thing as the Pegasus Plume.

Anniversary Event - November 1st to November 30th, 2011
An event for Vdex's 2nd Anniversary. It will be a site-wide cooperative catching event (though, you can also compete individually) similar to the Easter Mareep Event. The special ball is an Anniversary BallImage with a .5x effectiveness (so it has half the chance of a normal Pokeball) and will be the best thing to use to earn points. You will need to use one of each of the common berries (Pecha, Aspear, Rawst, Cheri, Chesto) to make it. Mean Look and Lyrit will not work for the entire event regardless of the ball you use. You may use other balls and still get points, but they will not be as much as if you use the Anniversary Ball. However, to make things more complicated, there is an Arch Nemesis... Troll Mew:
Image
He will troll you in one of various ways (Please see the event thread for detail) to make the event harder for you. The effect will last until you run into Troll Mew again and it changes to a new effect (You could be stuck with the same one though) OR when the event ends. Troll Mew can not be caught (though, Troll Mew is available through the point system) You earn one point for each new species you get this month (It ignores what you've gotten thus far so it's from now on) from catching (or breeding). Anniversary Balls give you double the points for not just catching, but each time you evolve them as well. Pokemon do not have to be kept so you can release them after catching/hatching/evolving them. Only Pokemon caught after the event began count when evolved for points. Points will be used to purchase various things, but you may only get one Legendary Pokemon (Old Sea Map doesn't count though or take away from your prize) from the prizes. You may purchase as much as you want with your points but no more of an item than it's limit.

Points and Prizes:
1 Point - Old Sea Map (Limit of 1 per person)
1 Point - Common Berry Set (Cheri, Pecha, Chesto, Rawst, Aspear)
10 Points - 1 Battle Gem of your choice
10 Points - Cover Fossil (Tirtouga)
10 Points - Plume Fossil (Archen)
20 Points - 1 Arceus Plate of your choice (Changes Arceus' form)
20 Points - Armor Fossil (Shieldon)
20 Points - Skull Fossil (Cranidos)
30 Points - Root Fossil (Lileep)
30 Points - Claw Fossil (Armaldo)
50 Points - 1 Deoxys Meteorite of your choice (Changes Deoxys' Form)
50 Points - Old Amber (Aerodactyl)
50 Points - Helix (Omanyte)
50 Points - Dome Fossil (Kabuto)
50 Points - Fluffy Tail
100 Points - Legendary of Choice (Limit of 1 per person, tradelocked)
100 Points - Cherish Ball
100 Points - Dream Ball Image (Changes Pokemon caught with it to B/W)
100 Points - TM11 (Transform) (Changes Ditto into a random Pokemon. Transform used to be Metronome)
750 Points - Trollface Mew (Limit of 1 per person, tradelocked)
-------Trollface Mew does not have a special little icon. It's a normal Mew.
-------It is personalized in the log referencing how many trollish encounters it had with you. For example, quoting Shiro: Rook's would say "Had two hundred seventy-five trollish encounters with..." (However, if you had not been trolled at all, it will just said "Had a Faithful Encounter with...")
-------Has an Exclusive Custom Nature (Oh hi.) and Exclusive Personality Blurb (I hope I'm not... getting in the way.).

Troll Mew went to troll far away lands on the evening of the 25th, allowing the rest of the event to be done troll-free. For hitting over 300,000 Points total, Shiro gave everyone a free 150 Bonus Points at the end of the event.

So many ones! - November 11th, 2011 (aka 11/11/11)
As a surprise, Shiro set up a special giveaway to honor the date. The giveaway required you to free up the 11th spot in your 11th PC box and sign up for the giveaway through the link by 11:11PM (GMT-5). Everyone who signed up received a Shiny B/W Porygon-Z:
Image
While the sprite is nothing special, the Pokemon itself is quite unique. It comes with the Image status and holding a ?Image. It also has 111111 for it's nature and 010011110110111001100101 (One) for the blurb.
Also, any users who signed up on today or earlier received a special achievement: ImageThe Last Binary

December DP - December 1st, 2011-December 31st, 2011
Continuing with the new Ditto collection, we have two more this month that change when given the Challenge MailImage. The item will be permanent, the Ditto can't be bred, and the same 10% chance for the regular to become shiny when the item is used is still there. Using it on a normal has a 90% chance of it being a normal Challenge Ditto and using it on a shiny makes it a Shiny Challenge Ditto. Can be used on HGSS or HGSS2 with the default natures only.

Challenge Ditto gets the special nature Challenge Accepted while it's shiny counterpart receives Close Enough.

2011 Holiday Gifts - December 11th, 2011-January 1st, 2012
This event lets you send gifts to any users on Vdex. When you send a gift, they will receive a Tiny BaubleImage and you can optionally include a Pokemon (which can optionally hold an item). You can then use those Tiny Baubles on HGSS or HGSS2 to get a special Holiday Cherubi:
Image Image
Holiday Cherubi (Holly) | Holiday Cherubi ★ (Mistletoe)
You have a 10% chance of getting a Shiny Holiday Cherubi when you use a Tiny Bauble on one (and 100% when using a Tiny Bauble on a Shiny Cherubi). They can not evolve or breed. The Tiny Baubles were unable to be traded until re-released the following year (though, the Cherubi always have been). When receiving a Pokemon from someone, you will become the OT.

The Zodiac Series - January 1st-December 31st, 2012
This year's special Donation Parcel series is the Zodiac Set. Each month will involve a special item (ImageCapricorn Scroll, ImageAquarius Scroll, ImagePisces Scroll, ImageAries Scroll, ImageTaurus Scroll, ImageGemini Scroll, ImageCancer Scroll,ImageLeo Scroll, ImageVirgo Scroll, ImageLibra Scroll, ImageScorpio Scroll, ImageSagittarius Scroll) that will change a Pokemon to a version designed to match the zodiac of that month (or well, the zodiac that ends in that month) and be one of the things available in that month's parcel. January features Capricorn/Sawsbuck, February features Aquarius/Azumarill, March features Pisces/Finneon, April features Aries/Mareep, May features Taurus/Tauros, June features Gemini/Plusle + Minun, July features Cancer/Krabby, August features Leo/Luxray, September features Virgo/Gardevoir, October features Libra/Chandelure, November features Scorpio/Skorupi, and December features Sagittarius/Zebstrika. As usual, the item when given to a normal version of the Pokemon has a 10% chance to make it shiny (and 100% chance when used on a Shiny). Zodiac scrolls will only work on a specific Pokemon each and will not work on any other evolution of that Pokemon. The Gemini scroll can work on either Plusle OR Minun.

Valentine's 2012 Event - "Delicious Juicy Beefs/The Bee's Knees" - February 7th to February 14th, 2012
While Valentine Mail returns from last year, it is more as just a way to say "Happy Valentine's Day!" if anything--though, you can choose to add a Chocolate HeartImage if you have any left from last year. They can not be traded or sold so this is the only way to get them. As for why you'd want them...well, there are only two ways to get a special Valentine Combee. The first is through Honey Trees. When a Combee shows up, it has a 1/5 a chance to be a Valentine's Day Combee. It also has the normal chance of being shiny. However, you may also use a Chocolate Heart on a HGSS or HGSS2 Combee to turn it into a Valentine Day Combee (Note: This only works on Combee--not Vespiquen). It has a 10% chance to turn into a Shiny Valentine Day Combee (and 100% if the Combee was already shiny). While you can no longer catch Valentine Combee after the event's duration, you may send Valentine Mail until the end of the month.

March 2012 - March 1st to March 31st, 2012
Besides the Zodiac this month, we also have been given a 0x0 ErrorImage which can be used on Missingno. When used on a normal Missingno., it has a 25% chance to be a shiny version and when used on a Shiny...well, it'll always be shiny. The Missingno. comes with a special personality blurb depending on which version you have. (Normal: "Oh, for crying out loud-", Shiny: "Great, now it makes sad faces at me.")

April 2012 - April 1st to April 31st, 2012
Easter Buneary return.

Easter 2012 Event - April 2nd to April 23rd, 2012
For Easter this year, we received a refreshing event with a bazillion Togepi. They have a 1/500 chance of showing up on any non-water/fishing route (of any color except Cyanide), though, you can boost a certain color (just the chance of it being that color out of the 1/500) by having the matching color Mareep in your party (having a full party of 6 of a color makes it so only that color will show up with the exception of Cyanide). For a Cyanide Togepi, you need to have a Cyanide Mareep in your party and it has a chance to show up like any other color Mareep. Having more than one Cyanide Mareep does not increase the chance.

The Chocolate and Cyanide items from last years event also make a return and can be bought in any PokeMart for 2,500 PD each.

Freebie Event - May 16th, 2012
A fun little random freebie event due to it being Shirogane's (and many users') birthday on the 16th of May. She granted everyone 2 Sparkle BallsImage which causes any Pokemon caught with it to turn into a Legit Shiny.

June 2012 Parcel Items: The Good Card - June 1st to June 30th, 2012
June, besides another Zodiac (see above) for the year, also introduced ImageThe Good Card. When given to a Ditto, it will change to a Poker Face Ditto (and has a 10% chance to be shiny if used on a Normal Ditto, 100% if used on a Shiny Ditto). It will have "Poker Face" nature if normal and "Bad Poker Face" nature if shiny.

July 2012 Parcel Items: Subsitute Doll - July 1st to July 31st, 2012
July, besides another Zodiac (see above) for the year, also introduced ImageThe Substitute Doll. What is special about this is that the Pokemon it's given to does not matter, but the sprite. Depending on the sprite's generation will end up which Substitute Doll you get. As per usual, you will have a 10% chance when giving a Substitute Doll for the Pokemon to be shiny if not already and 100% chance if it is already shiny. Green, Red/Blue, Yellow, Gold/Silver, and Crystal will give you a Gen I/II Substitute, Ruby/Sapphire, Fire Red/Leaf Green, and Emerald will give you a Gen III Substitute, Diamond/Pearl, Platinum, and HGSS (including Frame 2 sprites for all) will give you a Gen IV, Black/White will give you a Gen V, and a Back Sprite (or using a Back Capsule on a Substitute) will give you the Back Capsule Substitute. If used on an Event Pokemon, you will be given a Gen IV Substitute.

They also will have one of 4 special natures: Punching Bag, my face :(, please don't hurt me, that hurts!!

Tanabata 2012 - July 4th - August 3rd, 2012
You have to go through Dungeons of a person who has a Jirachi first in their party. For every dungeon you go through, you get 5 Wishes (Points). Similarly, whoever's dungeon you go through who has the Jirachi set will get 3 points (as long as they haven't passed 21 people doing so) as well so do help out people! Dungeons can only be completed once every 24 hours so there is a limit to how many points you can get (105 total). However, if you do get the max of 21 people doing your dungeon, that will give you an extra 63 points for a total of 168 total points. However, the total amount of wishes you could earn was increased with the event being extended.

Prizes are still being decided, but will include:
Wish Tag - 3 Wishes - Held by a Random Starter that will have the "Wishful" nature. The Wish Tag can be traded at the Fight Area for a random item out of the Type Plates and Different Meteor items.
Daruma Darmanitan - 2 Wishes Normal, 10 Wishes Shiny
Male Zorua - 1 Wishes Normal, 10 Wishes Shiny
Female Zorua - 3 Wishes Normal, 20 Wishes Shiny
Resolution Keldeo - 30 Wishes Normal, 50 Wishes Shiny
Black/White Kyurem - 30 Wishes Normal, 50 Wishes Shiny
Therian Genies - 30 Wishes Normal, 50 Wishes Shiny
Pirouette Meloetta - 30 Wishes Normal, 50 Wishes Shiny
Shock/Douse/Burn/Chill Genesect - 30 Wishes Normal, 50 Wishes Shiny

You can not gain Wishes until the event officially starts.

Halloween 2012 - October 10th - November 8th, 2012
Ghostmon is the first part of event. There is a 1% chance you'll find a Ghost version of a Pokemon you can get in whatever area you happen to be in. Due to the sheer amount, you can find all the sprites here. These pokemon will reappear every Halloween season.

The second part are these lovely Pumpkin Golett. They can not evolve, though, they can be bred. To get them to appear, you need to go to a forest (Viridian Forest, Ilex Forest, Petalburg Woods, Eterna Forest or Lostlorn Forest to be specific) with a party of 6 2012 Ghostmon (see above for more information). You have a 1/300 of finding one and it comes with a Spooky nature.
Image Image Image
You will only be able to get one type of the 3. It is determined randomly per account. So the only way to get the other two are to trade someone. You can catch as many as you want of that single type.

Anniversary - November 9th - December 6th, 2012
For Vdex's 3rd Anniversary, we have 8 Palette Swaps with Shiny Versions of each and to get them 7 of those, you need to use Berry Synthesizing and the other Palette Swap!:
ImageImageImageImageImageImageImage ImageImageImageImageImageImageImage Image Image
Red Mew | Orange Mew | Yellow Mew | Green Mew | Blue Mew | Indigo Mew | Violet Mew | Red Mew ★ | Orange Mew ★ | Yellow Mew ★ | Green Mew ★ | Blue Mew ★ | Indigo Mew ★ | Violet Mew ★ | Rainbow Smeargle | Rainbow Smeargle ★

To get one of each Mew normal and shiny, besides needing a Rainbow Smeargle, you need 80 Aspear Berry, 80 Rawst Berry, 60 Cheri Berry, 60 Chesto Berry, 10 Figy Berry, 10 Aguav Berry, 10 Wiki Berry, 4 Bluk Berry, 4 Leppa Berry, 4 Oran Berry, 4 Sitrus Berry, 2 Chople Berry, 2 Coba Berry, 2 Payapa Berry, and 2 Shuca Berry. For the specific individuals:
ImageRed Potion: 20x Cheri Berry, 2x Leppa Berry, 1x Chople Berry (Used for: Red Mew)
ImageOrange Potion: 20x Chesto Berry, 2x Bluk Berry, 1x Payapa Berry (Used for: Orange Mew)
ImageYellow Potion: 20x Rawst Berry, 2x Oran Berry, 1x Coba Berry (Used for: Yellow Mew)
ImageGreen Potion: 20x Aspear Berry, 2x Sitrus Berry, 1x Shuca Berry (Used for: Green Mew)
ImageBlue Potion: 10x Cheri Berry, 10x Aspear Berry, 5x Figy Berry (Used for: Blue Mew)
ImageIndigo Potion: 10x Rawst Berry, 10x Aspear Berry, 5x Aguav Berry (Used for: Indigo Mew)
ImageViolet Potion: 10x Rawst Berry, 10x Chesto Berry, 5x Wiki Berry (Used for: Violet Mew)

So, with your potions made, now what? You need a Rainbow Smeargle (It being shiny or not does not matter) in the first slot in your party. You have a 1/300 shot of finding one on land routes and there is a 1/3 chance it'll be shiny and has the same catch rate as regular Smeargle. Once you have a Rainbow Smeargle in the first slot of your party, give it a potion of the color you are looking for (Looking for normal or shiny Red Mew? Have it hold a Red Potion). You then have a 1/600 chance of finding a Mew of that color on land routes and a 1/3 chance for it to be shiny. It has the same catch rate as a normal Mew.

If you manage to get all 14 Mew (yes, that means all 7 normal and shiny), you receive the achievement Double Rainbow.

12/12/12 - December 12th-21st, 2012
A fun event to celebrate another repeating month/day/year combo. To celebrate, you are required to catch the 12th Pokemon in each regional dex:
Image Butterfree - Kanto
Image Pidgeot - Johto (Poor actual new Pokemon :( )
Image Zigzagoon - Hoenn
Image Staraptor - Sinnoh
Image Lillipup - Unova
They must be caught on December 12th, 2012 to qualify, although, you have until the 21st of the month to evolve certain specified Pokemon. When you have all 5, you need to put them in the 12th PC Box.

If you have done this, you will receive a random summoning item for a Legendary you do not have yet :)

Winter 2012 - Holiday Mail - December 12th, 2012-January 2nd, 2013
This event continues the holiday mail sending from last year. As a special incentive for sending holiday mail, every letter sent will fill up this counter and as each marker hits 100%, special Pokemon sprites will be released.
Set 1:

You can get Peppermint Linoone and Peppermint Furret by evolving Peppermint Zigzagoon and Peppermint Sentret, respectively.

Survivor - December 21st, 2012
Everyone who joined on December 21st, 2012 or earlier received the achievement ImageSurvivor with the description: I survived the apocalypse and all I got was this lame achievement. :(

Valentine's Day 2013 - February 8th, 2013-March 1st,2013
This event brings the return of the Valentine's Day Mail from last year. While Chocolate Hearts are not being introduced, those who still have a lot can send them through mail to others. The Chocolate Hearts will make it easier to find the special event Pokemon introduced on the 11th:
Image Image Image Image Image
The Valentine Luvdisc has 1/500 chance of appearing on all non-water routes (ironicaly enough) and if the Pokemon first in your party is holding a Chocolate Heart, the chance of one appearing will be 1/300. When you catch one though, if your Pokemon is holding a Chocolate Heart, the Chocolate Heart is consumed.

Easter 2013 - March 30th-April 23rd, 2013
For Easter this year, we received a refreshing event similar to last years, but with the Chansey family instead. Happiny have a 1/500 chance of showing up on any non-water/fishing route (of any color except Cyanide), though, you can boost a certain color (just the chance of it being that color out of the 1/500) by having the matching color Mareep/Togepi family member in your party (having a full party of 6 of a color makes it so only that color will show up with the exception of Cyanide). For a Cyanide Happiny, you need to have a member of the Cyanide Mareep family or a member of the Cyanide Togepi family in your party and it has a chance to show up like any other color Mareep. Having more than one Cyanide Pokemon does not increase the chance.

The Chocolate and Cyanide also appear again at Pokemarts for 2.5K each.

April Parcels - April 1st-April 30th, 2013
Image Image
Flower Ditto | Flower Ditto ★
The same usuals for Color swaps through parcels. You change a Ditto into them with a ImageFlower
Normal Flower Ditto get a (◡‿◡✿) Nature and the blurb: That's nice, but you're wrong.
Shiny Flower Ditto get a (⊙‿⊙✿) Nature and the blurb: I will kill everyone you hold dear.

May Parcels - May 1st-May 31st, 2013
Image Image
My Flower Ditto | My Flower Ditto ★
The same usuals for Color swaps through parcels. You change a Ditto into them with a ImageMy Flower
Normal My Flower Ditto get a (ʘ‿ʘ)ノ✿ Nature and the blurb: hold my flower
Shiny My Flower Ditto get a ✿\(。-_-。) Nature and the blurb: kick his ass baby i got yo flower

Besides those, we also have the following transformations in honor of Gen 6. Despite looking like Sylveon these are NOT official sprites (the shiny colors are also made up entirely) and the Pokemon works like an Eevee and does not count as Sylveon. You can transform them with a ImagePretty Bow.
Image Image
Eevee!Sylveon | Eevee!Sylveon ★
The items were available in the eShop until Gen 6 came out. Once out, breeding will be the only way to get these.

June Parcels - June 1st-June 30th, 2013
In honor of Gen 6, we have more non-official Gen 6 transformations. This month, you can change Vulpix into Fennekin with the ImageFire Fur.
ImageImage
Vulpix!Fennekin | Vulpix!Fennekin ★
The items were available in the eShop until Gen 6 came out. Once out, breeding will be the only way to get these.

July Parcels - July 1st-July 31st, 2013
In honor of Gen 6, we have more non-official Gen 6 transformations. This month, you can change Shinx into Litleo with the ImageFire Mane.
ImageImage
Shinx!Litleo | Shinx!Litleo ★
The items were available in the eShop until Gen 6 came out. Once out, breeding will be the only way to get these.

ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage
Star-crossed Ralts | Star-crossed Kirlia | Star-crossed Gardevoir | Star-crossed Gallade | Star-crossed Ralts ★ | Star-crossed Kirlia ★ | Star-crossed Gardevoir ★ | Star-crossed Gallade ★
To get a Star-crossed Ralts, you can claim a normal male one here until the event ends if the first slot in your party is empty. It will always be a normal male Ralts. The only way to get any others is through breeding the Star-Crossed Ralts you receive. It comes holding a sparkle ball, with the special nature "Star-Crossed" and the special blurb "Anxiously awaiting the seventh night of the seventh month." Because you can only get the shiny versions through breeding, they have a higher chance (1/7) when using the Everstone.

August Parcels - August 1st-August 31st, 2013
In honor of Gen 6, we have more non-official Gen 6 transformations. This month, you can change Drilbur into Chespin with the ImageThin Grass.
ImageImage
Drilbur!Chespin | Drilbur!Chespin ★
The items were available in the eShop until Gen 6 came out. Once out, breeding will be the only way to get these.

Cleffa & Chingling Refresh Event - August 14th-August 31st, 2013
As promised, a refresh event! They have a 1/500 chance to appear (Cleffa having a higher chance than Chingling) and a 1/5 chance of being shiny. They can be found on any non-water/fishing routes.

ImageImage
Teddiursa!Pancham | Teddiursa!Pancham ★

October Parcels - October 1st-October 30th, 2013
In honor of Gen 6, we have more non-official Gen 6 transformations. This month, you can change Croagunk into Froakie with the ImageBubble Soap.
ImageImage
Croagunk!Froakie | Croagunk!Froakie ★
The items were available in the eShop until Gen 6 came out. Once out, breeding will be the only way to get these.

Halloween 2013 - October 20th-November 8th, 2013
It's Vdex's annual Halloween event :D Besides the Ghostmon available during the entire month of October, there are a few special Halloween ones toward the end of the month.
Image Image Image Image Image Image
Halloween Joltik | Halloween Galvantula | Halloween Joltik ★ | Halloween Galvantula ★ | Witchu | Witchu ★

Halloween Joltik has a 1/500 chance to show up with a 20% chance to be shiny. Witchu, while having the same shiny chance is a litle more complicated to get. Besides only having a 1/200 chance to show up, you ONLY have this chance if you have a full party of Pikachu and/or Raichu. You can still catch Joltik with the full party of 'chus, however, you NEED them for Witchu. Witchu can not be bred (as it has no evolutions).

November Parcels - November 1st-November 31st, 2013
November brought a new set of Seasonal Pokemon with Autumn Petilil Eggs:
Image Image Image Image
Autumn Petilil | Autumn Petilil ★ | Autumn Lilligant | Autumn Lilligant ★

Anniversary Event - November 9th-December 17th, 2013
Troll Mew made a [unwelcomed] return for Vdex's 4th Anniversary. It followed the same rules as the last event with a few more prizes (and some price changes) and thus, Troll Mew was just as evil. Everyone also got another free Party Hat. If you bought a prize that was just one per person last time the event hit, you CAN buy it again this year! The Limit to 1 only applies per event.

Points and Prizes:
1 Point - Old Sea Map (Limit of 1 per person)
1 Point - Common Berry Set (Cheri, Pecha, Chesto, Rawst, Aspear)
5 Points - 1 Battle Gem of your choice
5 Points - 1 Arceus Plate of your choice (Changes Arceus' form)
10 Points - Cover Fossil (Tirtouga)
10 Points - Plume Fossil (Archen)
15 Points - Armor Fossil (Shieldon)
15 Points - Skull Fossil (Cranidos)
20 Points - 1 Deoxys Meteorite of your choice (Changes Deoxys' Form)

25 Points - Old Amber (Aerodactyl)
25 Points - Helix (Omanyte)

50 Points - Legendary of Choice (Limit of 1 per person, tradelocked)
50 Points - Cherish Ball
50 Points - Dream Ball (Changes Pokemon caught with it to B/W)
50 Points - TM11 (Transform) (Changes Ditto into a random Pokemon. Transform used to be Metronome)
50 Points - Image Silver Anniversary Mew
50 Points - Image Gold Anniversary Mew
50 Points - Image Platinum Anniversary Mew
50 Points - Image Diamond Anniversary Mew
100 Points - Image Silver Anniversary Mew ★
100 points - Image Gold Anniversary Mew ★
100 points - Image Platinum Anniversary Mew ★
100 points - Image Diamond Anniversary Mew ★
250 Points - Trollface Mew (Limit of 1 per person, tradelocked)
-------Trollface Mew does not have a special little icon. It's a normal Mew.
-------It is personalized in the log referencing how many trollish encounters it had with you. For example, quoting Shiro: Rook's would say "Had two hundred seventy-five trollish encounters with..." (However, if you had not been trolled at all, it will just said "Had a Faithful Encounter with...")
-------Has an Exclusive Custom Nature (Oh hi.) and Exclusive Personality Blurb (I hope I'm not... getting in the way.).
