I would have to nominate Secret of Kells. Its been a long time since I've seen an animated movie look so good. It has fine details in even minor scenery; all with an old Celtic touch to it. I highly recommend watching this film!

Please post some of your favorite animated films to share :)

:awesome:

In terms of impact and subject matter, I am shocked to see that Grave of the Fireflies has not yet been recommended! It takes the cake for the most tragic and touching animated film I have ever seen.

In terms of lighter fare, I prefer Mulan, Wall-E, and Pixar and Miyazaki films in general.

I like most Disney/Pixar movies, but for other favorites, The Iron Giant definitely makes my list. I'd most certainly recommend it.

The Last Unicorn! I'm not sure if anyone will know about it, since it's kind of old and wasn't a huge movie or anything - but it's beautiful and kind of scary (to kids anyway) and I love it!

I'm a sucker for Disney so, those have top picks but Miyazaki's movies are really special.
I especially loved Secret World of Arietty. It was wonderful.
