I myself am more of a werewolf lover, but I have read a few vampire books, mainly Twilight, which I really couldn't finish it.

Werewolf books I have more than a few I've read, one of my favs is Blood and Chocolate by Annette Curtis Klause. Another fav is Wolf Moon by Charles de Lint.

Bram Stoker's Dracula is the only vampire book i have ever read.

Haven't read anything centred on werewolves. Read Twlight (...I swear I'll burn it some time in the future)

Werewolves? Bah. Vampires? Bah.
WITCHES ARE COOLER. Haha.
Basically all 'The Hollows' by Kim Harrison. And it even has some vamps and wolves in it. I love her werewolves.

Both werewolves and vampires are great loves of mine. However, I do not go for this new trend of Twilight style vamps. I am much more intrigued by the revenants of the old world. And give me a werewolf would can't control themself, like the Beast of Gevadaun or the Beast of Bray Road.

I buy up any book that I can about werewolves and vampires. But I enjoyed Amelia Atwater-Rhodes' Den of Shadows series and The Kei'shara series. But I will admit that my favorite books that I've ever read about either vampires or werewolves are the Everything Vampires/Werewolves Books and the Idiots Guide to Vampires/Werewolves. I finished all four books in about two days; I ate them up completely.

Niether, honestly.

The last book I read was kinda tribal themed with evil spirits and such.
Don't remember the title though.

But I guess I prefer Vampires, that don't sparkle. Over werewolves.

Looking at my books, it's definitely Vampires:
The Anne Rice Vampire Books
Vampires and later on the books and her witch books cross storys

The Black Dagger Brotherhood Series
Only Vampires and their undead enemies (and humans of course)

Sookie Stackhouse Series
Vampires, Werewolfs, Shapeshifters, Fairys/Fae, oh, and yeah, there are still normal humans left

Undead Series
Vampires, Vampires.. later on some Werewolfs and the Daughter of the Devil

Mortal Instruments/Infernal Devices
Shadowhunters, Angels, Demons, Vampires, Werewolfs, Warlocks, just anything

But yeah, there are also Werewolfs to find:
The Mercedes Thompson Series from Patricia Briggs
Mercedes (called Mercy) is a Shapeshifter, a Coyote. She was raised by Werewolfs and lives side by side with a pack. There is a small Vampire Coven and a Fae reservation near the city, so there is always trouble :)

I just like fantasy :) So if someone knows a good Werewolf book.. yeah, I'd like to know :)

You're welcome. It's helped me, too. Now I've got more books to look into. If it's about werewolves or vampires, I'm all in it. :awesome:

Good? It's simply amazing. Not the first vampire story but it's definitely the cornerstone of the genre and inspiration for countless books.

*spark of inspiration* Why didn't I think of these sooner?

Bram Stoker wasn't the first person to write a vampire novel, although I would recommend his first. There were two other books before Dracula: Carmilla and Varney the Vampyre. Actually, Varney came out first, but I haven't read it yet. It was originally a penny dreadful and most copies were destroyed, so it's going to be expensive to get a copy. But Carmilla was good, if you can stand the way it's written.

I like scary books in general. Not really on the themed ones. Though Twilight was horrible. I read all 4 just to say I did lol. I'm reading a werewolf series now. Anne Rice's vampire novels were quite good.

-nods- I only read Twilight because it had werewolves in it, and so I could say I read it, I couldn't finish it tho x.x I really like shape shifters, the kind of werewolves I like are the kind that turn into wolves not the humanish werewolves. Tho those are alright too sometimes if the plots really good. I don't think I've found a good vampire book on my own, but from all these titles that everyone's giving me, I'll have enough to last for awhile. ^^ Thank you everyone so much.

Personally, House of Night is dumb and a waste of time. It consists of a horrible Mary Sue with Mary Sue-ish adventures. I can't believe I wasted my time reading the first two and half of the fourth.

There all good. Exept when they go deep into romance and ya.... Kinda like twillight. I have books with boath creatures, all with epic plots.

How can you find the main character mary sue-ish she doesnt get everything she want and when she does get something she really wanted there are complications. That does not fit in the mary-sue category at all!!! either way I also forgot I also love to read the Vampire academy series. Wait does vampire knight and hellsing count even though they're manga??????

Lol I've read Hellsing, its one of my favs, watch the anime as well. But I don't think manga and anime apply to this. Oh I've also read WolfKing by Bridget Wood, which was interesting to say the least, I'm not a big person on romance but if its not to thick I can manage to read it.
