►► Standard Mafia rules apply
►► The game starts during Recess
, but before the game any investigative roles can PM me with their investigation. This is a Cop head-start
►► Please put Votes
in bold to make my life easier!
►► Any time every single player
enters a vote of some kind (even No Vote
or No Lynch
) the Mama Kangaskhan will tell a story. Contained in that story will be hints about one randomly-generated player's alignment or role.
►► Phases (that is, one Class or one Recess) last exactly 24 hours, even if I'm not online to do turnover. I will post the cutoff time in each post and a countdown in each vote count.
►► I will attempt to do a vote count at least once every page.
►► You can change your vote one time
. Unvotes do not count. This rule is waived during the first Recess period, and the first Recess period only.
►► Don't spam. The first time you spam, you will get a warning. If another player has to warn you when I am offline, that will count as your warning. By your second offense, you will be modkilled. Off-topic discussion can go on in the OOC Thread
►► Roleplaying is not necessary, but it is encouraged!
►► Inactivity will be punished. If you haven't posted in 36 hours, I will send you a PM reminding you of the game. If you still haven't posted in another 12 hours, you will be modkilled. This doesn't apply for characters silenced in some way.
►► Players sent to time-out are welcome to converse in-thread, but please don't participate in any discussion regarding who to lynch!
►► In the spirit of the game, do not share role PMs or incite a mass-claim.
►► Feel free to clarify anything regarding the roles in-game before the game officially starts. Once the game starts, however, it would be best to PM me with any questions, as that will ensure a quick answer. The clarification will be added to the next vote count.
►► The flavor text for a character's role does not necessarily mean a character of the same gender will be chosen.
►► You are allowed to play in both 16a and 16b if you can handle it!
►► Don't be a jerk
►► Have fun!► RolesAny role with a specific number of uses can be changed to accommodate a larger group of players.
► Not officially playing the game -- and not required to actually be female -- but, at the beginning of the game (before any roles are randomly selected) picks one player to be Baby Kangaskhan
and then randomly assigns the other roles.Clean Team/Town
►► The Baby Kangaskhan, for all intents and purposes, appears to be a powerless student and does not know that it is, in fact, a Baby Kangaskhan. But, because Mama Kangaskhan is protecting Baby Kangaskhan, this little girl can get away with a lot. If she's sent to time-out by the Mean Team during the Class phase, Mama Kangaskhan knows instinctively who was messing with her baby, and one of the Mean Team members (determined randomly) is sent to time-out with her. If she's voted to be sent to time-out during Recess, the first person to cast their vote for her is sent to time-out as well.
►► Pichu likes to let out jolts of electricity to show off his power... but he tends to be unable to control that power! Pichu can zap and paralyze one player per class/recess phase, making them unable to use their special power for that phase, but it takes another class/recess phase for him to build up enough electricity to do it again.
►► Chingling likes following people around, though she tends to get a little lost sometimes... but it's easy to find where she went, because she makes noise the whole time! Twice per game, Chingling can choose to follow one player for the class phase. Because she rings wherever she goes, whatever that player does will be posted for every player to see. By doing this, the Chingling reveals who she is.
►► Cleffa likes to wander around during class, and because she's such a sweetheart nobody really minds. She does have a habit of looking over peoples' shoulders, though... Once per class period, Cleffa can investigate a player and find out their role.
►► Happiny just doesn't like pranks, at all. But if she has to join teams, she'll join the one where nobody gets hurt and everyone has fun! Every classroom phase, Happiny can pick one other player. If that player would get sent to time-out, Happiny wins over the teacher's heart and keeps the player from having to go. Happiny may protect herself, but not on two consecutive nights, as Mama Kangaskhan might catch on.
►► Igglybuff's a sweetie, but a bit obsessed with being the center of attention... four times per game, Igglybuff can try to put another player to sleep for one recess or class period, with a 50% chance of success. If she fails, it still counts as one of her tries. A player put to sleep by Igglybuff is unable to use their class power, if during class, or explain their recess vote, if during recess.
►► The little flirt! Twice per game, during recess, Smoochum can give another player a kiss on the cheek, leaving them so flustered that they're unable to speak to explain their votes until they get back to class and can regain their composure.
►► Elekid will end you
. No, not really -- he just looks like a tough guy. What he can do, though, is take the fall for someone of his choice if they get sent to time-out. 80% of the time, Elekid goes to time-out instead of his target. The other 20% of the time, Elekid stops them from being sent to time-out and finds the culprit at the same time
, surviving to protect another day.
►► Magby is a little troll, but a good-natured one. Twice in the game, during the classroom phase, the Magby can target someone to give a hotfoot. The targeted player is so distracted that they forget to use their classroom action!
►► Azurill tends to send herself flying around with that tail she's got. But there's one good thing! Once per game, Azurill is able to fling herself free of time-out just before she gets there, either through being targeted during the classroom phase or by majority vote during recess.
►► Wynaut just wants to hug everyone and protect them all and make everyone feel happy. But he'll settle for pranks! Twice per game, Wynaut is able to give a huge, protecting, immobolizing hug to one player. Wynaut's target is protected from any night actions, but also unable to use their own.
►► Hey, aren't there two of you...? Cherubi can sometimes trick her classmates into thinking that she's got a twin. Don't ask how she does it. When she successfully tricks her classmates, her recess votes count twice. However, it takes three class periods and two recesses for everyone to forget that she's actually one person again.
►► Hey, it's a Budew with Sunny Day! Twice per game, Budew can use its Sunny Day attack to trick the teacher into thinking it's a different time and therefore change Recess to Class time or Class time to Recess.
►► Munchlax is a lazy little guy, but at least he's friendly! Twice per game, Munchlax is able to go to sleep somewhere hidden until the next recess or class period, depending on when he went to sleep. Because nobody can find him, nobody can target him or send him to time out. But because he's asleep, he can't participate in any discussion or give any reason for his vote.
►► Togepi can't help that he's so adorable. Unfortunately for the little guy, he can't help that he look totally guilty
as well. When Togepi is investigated during a classroom phase, he appears to be a random Mean Team role!
►► None of the kids really know why Ditto is there... it isn't a student, and it isn't related to a student, and it doesn't really pay attention in class... why is it in the daycare? This Ditto can take over the power of any Clean-aligned student as long as that student is in time-out. When investigated, Ditto can take on the appearance of the student of their choice, unrelated to the power it may have. This choice can be sent in and changed at any time, and the most recent choice will be the Ditto's current appearance. Can Be Added
►► Plusle and Minun are best friends, though Plusle doesn't approve of Minun's mean-spirited pranks. Plusle and Minun each know who the other is, and when one gets sent to time-out for whatever reason, the other does too.
►► Abra is a quiet little girl, and not very popular, but she's already very intelligent despite her penchant for sleeping while the teacher talks. Three times per game, she can use her psychic powers and make the Mama Kangashkan say whatever she chooses in the next vote count or rollover post.
►► Not actually a student, but a wanderer who hangs around. Once every class period, while the students are walking inside, Audino can touch one player. If that player is a Luxio
, then Audino's powers clears the bully's heart, and Luxio becomes affiliated with the Clean Team. Its powers are reduced to just two more uses.Mean Team/Mafia
►► Riolu acts as the Mean Team leader; everyone decides who to blame the classroom prank on, but it's Riolu who pulls it off (and sends the incriminating PM). Using his aura powers, twice per game, Riolu is able to investigate another player and find out what their role is. He'd use it more often, but planning all those pranks takes a lot of energy!
►► Mime Jr. is an up-and-coming psychic performer. He can make a coin disappear! Twice per game, Mime Jr. can choose to change a player's Recess vote to one of their choosing.
►► This Bonsly is a special one! Taught Explosion by its trainer, it loves blowing things up. A lot. Once during the game, at any time, the Bonsly is allowed to blow up next to one other player. The trouble this stirs up causes both Bonsly and the chosen player to be sent to time out. If Bonsly is targeted during the classroom phase, though, it uses Explosion out of surprise, and once again Bonsly and the targeter are both sent to time-out. Really, Bonsly just wants to blow up. A lot.
►► Mantyke likes playing tricks on people by using the "happy face" pattern on his back. When Mantyke is investigated by Cleffa, he appears to be Clean-affiliated. Don't ask how he pulls it off. He's very good at what he does.
►► Tyrogue is very versatile! Once per game, he can evolve and use the power related to his evolution. By evolving into Hitmonchan
, Tyrogue is able to send one player to time-out during the classroom phase. By evolving into Hitmonlee
, Tyrogue is able to protect one Mean Team member from being sent to time-out. By evolving into Hitmontop
, Tyrogue is able to choose one player to take with them to time-out, with 75% chance of success, upon being sent themselves. Whatever Tyrogue chooses to evolve into, he can't devolve back into a Tyrogue. Can Be Added
►► Plusle and Minun are best friends, though Minun thinks Plusle's pranks need some improvement. Plusle and Minun each know who the other is, and when one gets sent to time-out for whatever reason, the other does too.
►► Gothita is Abra's sister, just as smart but not half as lazy. She pays attention in class, and her sister's sleeping really rubs her the wrong way! Three times per game, she can make the Mama Kangaskhan say whatever she wants in the next vote count or rollover post.
►► Another Ditto... that nobody can understand exactly why it's there. This Ditto can take over the powers of any Mean-aligned teammate, as long as they've already been sent to time-out. When Ditto is investigated, it takes on the same appearance that the regular Ditto currently has. If the regular Ditto is already out of the game, it appears to be a powerless student. What Team?
►► Hey, wait! Aren't you two a little old to be in preschool? What are you
doing here? Once every Class period, Luxio can Intimidate another player so much that they choose to go to time-out themselves to get away from him. Luxio wins by surviving until the end of the game, independent of what team actually wins. There will be two Luxio. Can Be Added
►► The entire point of the Rufflet's existance is to get the Vullaby sent to time-out. If it succeeds without revealing its role, Rufflet wins, separate from the Clean Team/Mean Team competition. Rufflet and Vullaby each know who the other is. Rufflet must have voted for Vullaby for the win condition to be met, and if Vullaby is sent to time-out during class, Rufflet joins the Clean Team as a powerless student.

Rufflet and Vullaby each know who the other is. ►► Wait... why is there a Voltorb in the Daycare? Voltorb has no affiliation, it just sits there. Waiting. Seething. If Voltorb can get itself attention and be sent to time out before the seventh Class period, Voltorb wins, separate from the Clean Team/Mean Team competition. If Voltorb is not in time-out by the end of the seventh Recess, it throws a temper tantrum and explodes, taking with it to time-out the two players closest to it at the time. This is determined by the post directly before
Voltorb's most recent post, and directly after
