Every Sunday, a member will be chosen at random to receive a free Gacha Ball~ No entry necessary, just being a member puts your name into the hat. If you win this week, you are not eligible to win next week's giveaway, but you'll be entered in the giveaway again the week after that!

Note: Member must have been active (on VDex itself, not the club) in the last 7 days to receive their prize. If an inactive member is chosen, another will be picked at random. This is to prevent me from getting tradelocked!

♦ The Monthly Gacha Lottery ♦
Currently on hold.
Every month, a pokemon will be chosen at random. If, during that month, you happen to hatch the chosen pokemon from a Gacha Mystery Egg... you win 10k! However, there ARE 493 possible pokemon to hatch from an egg (excluding ditto and evolutions), hence why it's called the lottery.
Again, no entry is necessary. If you hatch the chosen pokemon from a mystery egg, post it here and you'll receive your prize!
(Note the egg must be hatched within the month - so if the monthly pokemon for September is an Eevee and you hatched an Eevee from a mystery egg back in August or May, it will not count.)
There can only be one grand prize winner a month - so the first person to hatch the monthly pokemon gets the 10k prize. If someone else hatches one afterwards, they will still get a prize of 1k.

◓ Prior Gacha Lottery Hatchers! ◓

But... but... What IS Gacha?!
Have no idea what this 'Gacha' thing is all about? Look no further! The npcs there explain it pretty well, but I'll nonetheless provide a little explanation.
Gacha is basically VDex's version of a game corner - that is to say that it's purely gambling. For the price of 1000, you get a gacha ball in one of many fabulous colors. You can then use this gacha ball to either adopt a poor, abandoned pokemon, swap out the pokeball for one of your existing Pokemon (for cosmetic reasons - say giving a vaporeon a matching blue Gacha Ball), or pay an extra fee of 300 and receive a Mystery Egg.

This egg will hatch into literally anything (save Dittos, the only pokemon that can't come out of them, and evolved pokemon - so you can't get a Vaporeon but you can certainly get an Eevee), even if they can't normally breed. INCLUDING legendaries! (though that's extremely rare)

Each gacha'd pokemon, whether adopted, given a pretty new ball or hatched, will always be holding a random item. You can get most of the items in the game this way. Most times you'll end up with a Berry of some kind, but it's possible to get rare items such as GB Players or Everstones. Again, this is extremely rare, but it's possible!

The name "Gacha" comes from a brand of capsule toys popular in Japan - Gachapon. "Gacha" is an onomatopoeia for the sound made from turning the crank on a capsule toy machine.

Who are 'Triumph' and 'Mei'?
Triumph and Mei are the managers of the Gacha Corner. Triumph is a pokehuman (originally Murkrow) who is very determined to save your life from going down the drain due to gambling away all your money. Mei is a pokehuman (originally Cherubi) and a sweet girl except for the very frequent occurrences of her either threatening or enacting violence on Triumph.

What kind of Gacha should I do?
You should try all of them! If you're new to the site then mystery eggs are a great way of getting started on your pokedex (and giving you trade fodder). You might find a pokemon you really like at the adoption center, or a rare one. And color coordinated pokeballs are just plain cool.
