Kaspæn Region OCC
Are you ready to wield the Gift?
Story
It all began that day in Willow's lab. You live in the small, crescent-shaped island region called Kaspæn. You have all your life. The region isn't all that different from mosst regions but for a few things. I mean, it has a small mountain chain, like most regions, a sea route or three like most regions, a champion's league like most regions, and it's own legends.
It's just here, all the Pokemon are shiny, and everyone born here can hear their voices. Well, every Pokemon's shiny but the Magikarp, and that's a long story.
Even in such a magical region, you were never prepared for what happened when you went to get your first Pokemon from Professor Willow. She, I suppose, is a bit too much into legends for most regions, but not for here. Heck, she's hardly a scientist. Anywho, she gave you your Pokemon. Suddenly your amulet, given to you at birth, like every child, glowed.
You had the Gift. You found yourself- different, all of a sudden. You realized that you could transform into that same Pokemon you were just given. You were one of several who had suddenly gotten the Gift that day.
However, all was not good. An evil team, known as Team Axœn, Has learned of you all's Gifts. They are hunting you down, as well as the legendary golden Magikarp and the hidden chamber of Azure, the blue Mew. They are strong beyond belief. Only you and your gift may be able to stop them. Without that, hope is lost.
Go forth, brave heros. Destiny is waiting!
Rules
1. Like Kanto and other such RPs, I choose what goes on and control the main NPCs. In other words, I get to decide if you successfully capture something. However, feel free to run into a Pokemon or battle a minor Axœn grunt while I'm not looking, just don't do anything major. That also means I get to decide when your Pokemon are ready to evolve.
2. In battle, be fair! Don't expect your level one Poliwag to defeat the legendary golden Magikarp in one try. It's just not happening.
3. No godmodding in general, or a team Axœn member will come out with a Hypno and use its creepy powers to kidnap you. ...but seriously, folks!
4. Play nice and no flaming, otherwise a Ho-oh will exert revenge against you for your evils, because that's what they do in Kaspæn.
5. I reserve the right to kick people out of the RP if they don't follow my rules.
6. Use common sense when running into wild Pokemon. A Heatmor will not appear in the middle of the Fishing Safari Ring.
7. All posts must have at least seven sentences. I'd prefer more, but I can't have everything.
8. You will be able only to transform into Pokemon of your amulet type that you own. Feel free to catch Pokemon of other types if you feel like it!
9. Keep your character sheet up to date. I will try to as well, it's just that it'd make things easier for me.
10. Have fun! OR ELSE! ...That was a joke, son.

The Kaspæn Region
Towns
Sighfire Village: A small town on the southernmost tip of Kaspæn. Willow Labs resides here. Connected to Star City by Route 1 and Echo Island by Searoute 2.
Star City: The biggest city in Kaspæn, it has Yellow Gym, the Teskimo TV headquarters, and an airstrip to the east. Route 3 connects it to Searoute 1 and Echo Island to the west, Northwest is Kimoset Bridge, a connector to Fairix, North is Route 2, a connection to Sacremo, and Soutn is Route 1 and Sighfire Village.
Sacremo: Known as the daycare town, it claims the highest egg laying average of any daycare. As a result, the town is called "The PokeLove Seat". South is Route 2 and Star City, while East is Route 4 and Fairix.
Fairix: Though Kimoset Bridge is currently broken, a fair amount of buisness still comes through this town due to the Safari Ring Teleporter Booth. It also houses Green Gym. The bridge leads Southeast to Star City, Route 4 connects it to Sacremo, Route 5 North connects it to Reed's Town, Route 6 Northwest connects it to Smoke, and Searoute 3 connects it to Echo Island.
Reed's Town: This tiny town in the Cajin Mountains is barely visited due to the steep routes that connect to it. True champions must get their, though, as Champion's Gate, and therefore Champion's Rock, is only accessable from there. South Route 5 leads to Fairix, and winding Eastward Route 8 leads to Smoke.
Smoke: The last great city of Kaspæn, Smoke has few residents but a lot of important traffic through it. You see, here is where legendary sage Macquarie resides, oldest Legend Keeper in the region. Red Gym is also here. West is winding Route 8 to Reed's Town, Southeast is Route 7 to Tippoint, and Southwest is Route 6 to Fairix.
Tippoint: This tiny town resents its proximity to Fishing Safari Ring. It is located on the upper tip of the crecent, hence the name. It only connects to Smoke via Route 7.
Echo Island: This island is said to harbor echos of a past great civilization. Indeed, the entire town is housed in ruins of a long-ago time. Blue Gym is located here. It connects to Sighfire Village through Searoute 2, Route 3 and Star City through Searoute 1, and Fairix through Searoute 3.
Landmarks
Willow Labs: She's only certified as a scientist so she's allowed to hand out starters! A tiny building built atop a cave to keep everything in, it is located in Sighfire Village.
Teskimo TV headquarters: The tallest skyscraper in Star City, it cost billions to build. Here, you can enter a raffle to win a Master Ball(!) and TV game shows. They say it's rigged, though...
Kimoset Bridge: A bridge that famously connects the normally far apart Star City and Fairix. However, it appears to have collapsed in the middle somehow...
Barrier Falls: These separate Searoute 1 and Route 3. You'd be insane to try to get up or down them without a Pokemon's help.
Passable Woods: As opposed to the impassable kind. Residing on Route 2, these are famed for their Pikachu, Emolga, and Pachurisu. However, you're most likely just to see bug types.
Sacremo Daycare: Located in Sacremo, this daycare will take care of your Pokemon for you, and encourage them to breed.
Safari Rings: Run by a slick warden, they're all way overpriced.
Teleporter Booth: This is how you get to the Safari Rings on either side of Fairix. They're very expensive for some reason.
Fishing: Ride a Lapras throgh this expanse of sea in between Tippoint and Fairix! Catch rare fish here!
Hunting: Ride a Tauros to chase your dream Pokemon in this space Northeast of Fairix! Enjoy finding rare plains Pokemon!
Cajin Mountains: The Northernmost section of Kaspæn is covered in these. They are difficult to cross, but Route 8 and Route 5 don't stop trying.
Champion's Gate: This cave is in Reed's Town, it runs under to Cajin Mountains. It is impossible to enter without each leader's key.
Champion's Rock: All true journeys strive to end here, at this remote place in the Cajin Mountains, at the end of Champion's Gate. She, the great Champion, resides here...
Smoke Temple: Learn many legends here in Smoke's finest temple. Macquarie lives here.
Echo Ruins: Is it really a suprise to see those pretty blue Unown here? No, didn't think so. Located under Blue Gym, it's good training to face Layla.
Routes
Route 1: Connects Sighfire Village and Star City. This route is the straightforward, boring route you've come to expect for your first route. Those normal and normal/flying types that you expect live here as well.
Route 2: Connects Star City and Sacremo. This route is a shady tree-covered route that has its middle portion covered by Passable Woods. Bug types and grass types love it around here.
Route 3: A route leading from Star City to Barrier Falls at its edge. It runs down and abrupty stops at the seaside cliffs and waterfall. Seaside Pokemon and, oddly enough, Chansey love this route.
Route 4: Connects Sacremo and Fairix. This route is windy on a good day, outright stormy on a bad one. Could this have to do with the psychic and flying types who love it here?
Route 5: Connects Fairix and Reed's Town. This route is literally a hike up a huge mountain. Expect rock, ground, and steel types.
Route 6: Connects Fairix and Smoke. This route is very, very shady, in many ways. Dark and poison types flock to here.
Route 7: Connects Smoke and Tippoint. This route is covered in fire, ghost, and dragon types, drawn in by Macquarie's fire.
Route 8: Connects Smoke and Reed's Town. This route is long, winding, and a pain to hike. It flies through the mountains, while your vision is obscured by snow. The ice and fighting types here are particularly mischievous.
Searoute 1: From Barrier Falls to Echo Island it wanders. Wingull and Pelipper soar overhead, while Tentecool do below.
Searoute 2: Connects Sighfire Village and Echo Island. A Wailord causes trouble below the waves.
Searoute 3: Connects Fairix and Echo Island. It is the longest Searoute, and is known for the Luvdisc that fishermen seek out there.

Important NPCs
Professor Willow: A bubbly, kind young lady who loves handing out starters. Once you recieve your Gift, she'll help you learn more about it as she does. She must have a ton of Pokemon, she gives so many away!
Tally: The Yellow Gym leader. She has a hyper personality that never, ever, ever seems to stop. Her party consists of Manectric, Electivire, Raichu, and Luxray.
Ben: The calm, collected leader of Green Gym, he's always got his cool. He commands Venisaur, Meganium, Sceptile, Torterra, and Serperior.
Michaelmas: The prodigy of Macquarie and Red Gym leader, he is bad with people and great with Pokemon. He uses Charizard, Tysplosion, Blaziken, Infernape, and Emboar.
Layla: She is the powerful, far-out surfer-girl leader of Blue Gym. She uses Blastoise, Feraligator, Swampert, Empoleon, and Samurott.
Macquarie: She's a powerful sage and the oldest Legend Keeper. Come, gather closely round her fire, and let the tale begin. Her only known Pokemon is Xatu.
Warden Ashiku: The creater of the two Safari Rings, he's a fellow who will sell you anything. This slick fellow is better not to mess with. He is known to own several Lapras for the Fishing Safari Ring and several Tauros for the Hunting Safari Ring.
Mr. Teskimo: The head of a powerful TV company. He seems nice enough. He will battle you if you really want him to, but his Volcanarona and Ferrothorn might just blow you away.
Dillard: A meany if there ever was one, he will act as a rival for all you guys. He starts with an Eevee.
The Champion: If anyone can save the day, she can! She's an enigma, no one has beaten all the gyms to see her since she decended to Champion's Rock ten years ago. In fact, no one's sure she exists anymore... Her Pokemon are entirely unknown.
Axœn Leader: And if anyone will destroy the world, she will... Nothing is known about the character in the brown suit and fedora. Her only known Pokemon is a Khangishan named Marsu.

Username: Kismet Name: Quezetacoatl ( Que, Quez, Qu ) Age: 15 Appearance: Similar to this and minus the animal parts, drawn by me :3 Long Blonde hair with blye highlights in her bangs that hang across her eyes. She fashions a red bandanna across her head that ties up at the base of her skull, witht he blonde hair hanging over it. She wears a blue tanktop with a short sleeved windbreaker with a faux-fur collar. Que wears jeans and a yellow and black checkered belt , with knee-high cowboy styled boots. On her left arm is a wild tribal tattoo that wraps around. Personality: A quiet girl who likes to garden. She particularly likes to tend to the flowers and make sure they're in good condition, Que is a little bit distant from others, and also due to her Brother leaving for a Dancing Academy a while away- leaving her to tend to her family's wind farm. Que is quite nieve and tends to take things quite litterally, not to say she's always serious. Quez likes the light-hearted life, animals and nature in general. She cherishes her friendships and doesnt speak loudly, often with a hushed tone. Que succumbs quite easily when she is scared or being yelled at, rathering being taken advantage of (read: bullied into doing homework) rather than being outcast. She doesnt have much of an opinion, preferring to do what the crowd is doing - so she doesnt stand out much and is often sucked into the crowd and lost in individuality sometimes. Que is looking for herself, her calling. She is often told to 'grow a backbone' and to 'stick out' a bit more, but she doesnt know quite how to do that, despite her friends and families attempts. Like her brother, she enjoys basking in the sun and being outdoors rather than being stuck indoors. Her favourite fruit are Grapes. Age: 16
Appearance: Linda is a tall girl for her age. Being Asian, she has unusually white skin and black hair that is kept short and in a black cap. She wears a pair of half-rimmed spectacles, along with a cheesy smile to signal her presence. She usually dons a motorcycle jacket over a blue T-shirt marked with the word 'Revolution' and spiked jeans, along with a pair of good sneakers. She has a sling bag to carry her items, and if you scrutinised her(without her finding out), you would notice that her left hand is actually a bionic one. Without her hat she may seem a bit scruffy(never combing her hair because of the cap) so try not to get her hat.
Personality: Linda is a ingrained cynic by nature, and may seem defensive or sarcastic to those who do not know her well. Though, she is a very good socialiser and does not hesitate to make friends, especially if the friend of said person is someone she already knows or trusts. She trusts people deeply and so gets easily hurt by betrayel but is cheerful enough to shrug it off. She is intelligent but comes across as being lazy due to lack of contribution and she simply loves to eat and stuff her face. Yet, underneath this exterior lies a girl with low self-confidence due to years of teasing for missing an arm. She cannot stand being alone because of her wild imagination, and she has a sixth sense so she can acutely sense the presence of anything paranormal.

Pokemon: :( Manta with Blue! Character Sheet Username: Mizumanta Name: Manta Age: 15 Appearance:  Always seen with his jacket either opened of closed. The dark color and the skull do not accurately represent his personality. Along with the jacket, he usually wears baggy jeans and deep red shoes. His hair is a tannish brown, but he is not above dying it every once in a while. Personality: Contrary to how he looks, he is actually quite positive and fun to be around. The only set back is that he is increadibly shy around new people. He usually looks to the ground with his hands in his pockets, contemplating recent events. He usually thinks things through before making a decision. He likes helping others and is pretty reliable. He often puts things in his backpack for other people, only pulling them out when they are needed. He cooks for others and has never had a problem finding his own food. Because of his shyness, he often keeps things to himself even if it is vital that others know. Amulet Color: Blue or Pink What does Ho-oh do in this region?: Ho-oh will exert revenge against me for my evils =3 Pokemon: Poliwag Lucy with Black! Username Mijaafa Name Lucy de Reiger Age 16 Appearance: Lucy is quite tall, 1.76 meters to be exact, and skinnier than should be considered healthy, which is not really weird considering she just had a grow spurth of over 10 cm in the past year. Her white skin colour is very pale and when exposed to the sun, it burns immediately and shortly after, light freckles start to sprout all over her body. She has long, naturally red hair, that reaches to her waist, which she oftens wears in a braid. Her eyes are very light in colour: green, to be exact. Her eyes do not reveal her lack of eyesight. For clothing she often wears army shorts and a white sleeveless bandshirt (from the band Poets of the Fall) and the classic black and white all stars for shoes. She uses an ordinary black backpack to carry her stuff, wqhich has even more band logo's sewed onto it. Because she prefers keeping her pokémon out of their balls anyway, Lucy carries the pokéballs not on a belt, but in this bag also. On her head she wears a black black beanie with a wadjet (eye of Horus) on it and on her hands black, fingerless gloves. See spoiler for a semi realistic face painting (Don't click the picture if you happen to have transparant-clothing-and-boobies-phobia). The picture does not show the clothes she wears in this RP.  Personality Lucy has been blind for most of her life: because of a tumor surpressing the visual cortex in her brain when she was 6, she lost the ability to progress information given by the eyes. After an operation that had cut away most of this cortex and a lot of chemo therapy, the tumor did not return and she now lives a fairly normal, albeit blind life. The first impression that Lucy leaves with people will always be a negative one. She is quite sarcastic and often reacts uninterested or even negative to others. This is not because doesn't want to get to know these people, but because she simply doesn't trust people easily and is insecure about showing her emotions. She will always try to act tough and untouchable, but is in fact really insecure. She hates being dependent on others, but because of her blindness she sometimes has no choice to. Lucy also dislikes sleeping, saying that it is a waste of time. Secretly this is because whenever she closes her eyes, because she has nightmares with tranquil sleep. Even though she is blind, when she dreams her brain creates images she remembers from the time when she was able to see to match the characteristics other senses had picked up. Most of the time this results in incorrect and gruesome pictures. These nightmares and thunder she fears, but other than that no living, dead or spoken thing will make her even tremble the slightest bit. Although her blindness may make her seem dumb at times, she is not. When she was younger it was soon discovered she possesed a photographic memory. Of course, after going blind, this was useless because photographic memory makes one exceptional at remembering seen images only, but when blind she found that, if seeing made her remember things very clearly, then why shouldn't the other senses? She noticed that her high memory rate did also cover information picked up by the other senses. On top of that, just like most other people who must live with less than 5 senses, the others are more sensitive, up to hyper-sensitivity compared to 'normal', seeing people. Of course, these traits do not keep her from being disabled, as much as she hates to admit so. She hates it when people underestimate her just because she isn't able to function the way a normal person does. Being dependent does not make her stupid. Anyway, with getting pokémon she hopes that it can help her being able to do as she likes as much as any person would and that she doesn't have to walk with a stick in front of her anymore. Music is her life, she plays various instruments and always carries an ocarina with her. Her favorite remains the piano however. Amulet Color Oh god. Username: pandoras box Name: Katherine 'Kat' Cross Age: 15 Appearance: [image hur] Kat has fly-away red hair that is often referred to as the Luxray mane by her mother since Kat has a very hard time controlling it. Not long ago she had it cut back to her shoulders and her bangs have been given a sweep look so when she gets caught in the wind, it doesn't go wild and doesn't hide her violet eyes. Her outfit is usually very simple, a tank top with her white cardigan over it and a slightly ruffled skirt that rest just above her knees. The tank-top and skirt are usually a blue in a darker and lighter shade but the same can be done with Purple or Yellow. She ties things off with a black belt with a few pokeball holds and adorned with one of her many belt buckles; the belt rests over the cardigan and hanging off her hips. On her feet are a pair of black Mary-Janes, not to practical for traveling but she'll learn that the hard way. Personality: Kat wanted to be a Pokemon Scientist like that Prof. Oak and Prof. Juniper that she has heard so much about. She has nothing against her more local role-model, Prof. Willow, but as the daughter of a Pokemon Nurse she wants to deal in the more technical side of the field then the legends. That being said, Katherine is a very caring young lady with a out-going personality. She believes hard work is very rewarding but there is nothing wrong with having a bit of fun here and there. She is a dedicated worker, taking care of pokemon around the centre well chatting with the happy trainers then reading her research books when on breaks and before bed. Occasionally an adventure book lands on her reading list, of course! She can't wait to learn about the battling and other pokemon, first hand. Her mother has taught her many things about pokemon care over the years and her father has told her about what to expect in the wild, since he has traveled Kaspæn as a Trainer. Manta woke up suddenly. He covered his eyes against the light. "I hate bad dreams...it's always kill this and empty sushi bar that..." He sighed "Perhaps this isn't the appropriate day to get my pokemon." Manta said pessimistically. He hopped out of bed. His parents weren't home and weren't there to say goodbye but he knew that they would see each other soon.
Manta stepped outside. He had not forgotten his special jacket, but was regretting it a little as the black color was attracting heat. Walking down the road and to the mountain, Manta looked down at the road, staying close to the shadows to avoid the hot sun. He had packed dome food and water, but thought it wise to simply use it later.
"This place should be nearby." Manta said aloud. He was told that the location was atop a cave, but he had never ventured out that far to explore this part of town lately. He looked around then looked up. A Deep echoey cave stood before him. With all of his sun evading and ground watching, he had completely missed the conspicuous cave. "Oh..." he said to himself.

Kat jumped in surprise, covered in sweat and gasping for air, the dream clearly replaying in her mind. She didn't know what shock her the most, the content of the dream or the fact that she had a dream. She was one of those people that had dreamless sleeps or if she did dreamed, she never remember anything. She didn't know what to make of the dream, some people had died, someone was in charge, someone begged and someone was spared, she got all of that but what did it mean to her. Unfortunately, this wasn't the day to sit in bed and wonder. Today was the big day, the day she became a pokemon trainer.
Kat got out of her bunk and started getting ready for the day. It was weird for her because it was sort of like she had started her adventure last night. She was a Fairix girl so, she had said her goodbyes the day before and ridden father's Wailord over. It was a good thing that Pokemon Centres had warm beds for Trainers, she wasn't really ready to sleep under the stars without a companion.
"Thanks for letting me stay the night!" she called out before exiting the building. Katherine adjusted the strap of her messenger bag before heading out towards Professor Willow's Pokemon Lab. She was told to look for a cave... I girl could hope it was straight forward from there, maybe signs.
Kat noticed a boy in the distance then saw the cave. She made her way over, looking around the lab but then again, she was only told cave. "So, you looking for Professor Willow's lab, too?" Kat asked as she walked up beside the guy.

Linda opened her eyes. "...I swear there was something related to the names," She grabbed a pen and wrote down the names of the 3 creatures mentioned, turning up an interesting result. "To think my beauty sleep was completely quashed by such a stupid dream," she snapped, going into the bathroom to wash up and get ready. As she walked outside, holding a map that was conveniently upside-down(she was failing Geography), she recalled something about the lab being perched atop a cave. Maybe if she tried her luck...Linda bounded outside and veered to the right, entering Sighfire Village and creating a racket in the process. Her parents would not be impressed. Before she had left her father had given her a coupon to exchange for a Bicycle, along with sending his Sceptile Chris over to protect her until she got her first Pokémon. "Chris, where dayya think the Lab is?" she asked, jumping over a small hole and glancing over at the Sceptile's direction. The large, blind creature did not say anything, only blinking his milkish gaze in order not to lose his young mistress. Finally, she reached the cave, where 2 people were already waiting. Chris nodded at Linda, before he bounded into a nearby tree and vanished into the distance.
She glanced up, making out a sillouate of the lab from the blistering sun. "Anyone thought of climbing up?" she began sarcastically.

Nia cried out and shot up. Her heart raced, such a strange dream. She pressed a hand over her racing heart and took a few deep breaths. "What was that?" She asked herself. The voices repeated in her head over and over. What were they talking about? Who was spared? "...And who was killed?" She whispered, a shiver running down her spine. She shook her head to clear it and crawled off the bed. Walking over to the dresser, she picked up her clothes and changed out of her night gown. She smoothed out her sleeves and sighed. "Well...It's time I guess," She smiled and went back to the bed to grab her shoulder bag, slipping it over her head and fanned out her hair over the strap. She stood by the door for a few seconds, gripping the strap with both hands and preparing herself for the journey ahead. Finally, she took one more deep breath and walked out into the sunlight.
Turning her head up into the sun's warmth she smiled. She walked a few small steps before breaking into a run. She grinned as the whoosh of air went past her ears and sent her hair flying in all directions. Even though she gripped the strap tightly, the bag still banged against her hip. Her Rapidash keychain bounced and clanged against the bag, but the sound was almost drown out completely by the bird pokemon's songs.
As she ran, she stared up at the mountain as it grew closer. She pushed herself harder and flew over the ground like the Rapadash on her chain. Her excitement shot through her. She daydreamed about the pokemon she would be getting. She knew they would be the best of friends. Stopping on a dime, she cringed as three people came into view. Her insecurities floated to the surface and she clutched her bag's strap for dear life. After a fleeting thought of turning back around, she took one last deep breath and walked up to the group slowly. Her eyes flickered to the dark cave in front of her, then quickly cast her eyes down to the ground. "Um...e-excuse me..." She said, just barely above a whisper, "I-is this the w-way to Professor Willow's lab?" She almost hoped the kids wouldn't hear her and wished she brought a flashlight.

Professor Willow was having an odd dream. In it, a man had randomly walked up to her and was now saying, "Get up, today's a big day! Get up, today's a big day! For crying out loud, get up already! Get up, today's a big day! Get up..." The oddest thing about it was, it sounded just like her alarm... her...
"ACK! IT IS MY ALARM!" Willow leaped what must have been several feet in the air. "I overslept! I should be out there, greeting everyone! Oh, no, oh no, oh, no..." She raced about, flustered, as she got dressed. Her lab was a little tough to reach, and she had been planning on bringing the Pokemon out to them. She had them all picked out and everything... oh no. Finally, she rushed out the door and down to the waiting people.
"Sorry! Well, let's see, I have everyone's Pokemon with me... um... I FORGOT THEM? Oh well, just follow me... I'll show you to my lab." She began leading them up the mountain.

Kat was a little surprised when she heard a voice come from behind her and she felt a bit stupid about it, of course there would be others coming. She looked over her shoulder at the newcomer and reply to her question with a simple "Nope.", letting the word pop at the end. Katherine laughed lightly at the fact, she would deny that she hadn't thought of it but give the time she probably would have. The redhead decide to look it up her guide book. She pulled the book out of and started started looking up the lab in the index, of course, the article on it was just a vague as the person who told her where to go... The girl roughly shoved the book back into her bag and sighed in slight frustration, if she was at home, she would just have picked up another book.
Katherine turn around as she heard approaching footsteps. She smiled at the obviously younger girl that approached and waved kindly. "Looks like it." she told the girl in a cheery tone, hoping she had heard the girls words correctly.
Prof. Willow's appearance made her excited but nervous at the same time. What if her pokemon didn't like her? Kat shook her head slightly in hopes to shake away any doubts. "Well, here we go." She said, voice cracking on the last note, then jogged over to walk behind the Professor.

"oh good..." She mumbled, holding one fisted hand in front of her chin shyly looking up at Kat. She looked around at the other kids and wondered why she was the only one her age. She dug her toe into the dirt and looked down again. The kids seemed nice enough, but her shyness was overpowering. She hoped she could be friends with these kids, but first she had to get a hold of herself. She clenched her fists and took a deep breath. Just as she was about to introduce herself the professor came out and she jumped. "meep!" She squeaked as her hands shot up to her mouth. Her eyes closed and a blush creeped its way up her face. When the professor told them to follow her she opened her eyes and hurried to keep up, keeping her hands at her chest. Her keychain jingled softly, bringing her a calming feeling. As they entered the cave she moved closer to the red headed girl wishing once more for a flashlight. A rustling noise next to her made her squeak again and she dove forward to grab Kat's shirt. She apologized quickly but kept her hold, shivering. She did not like being alone in dark places. With her free hand curled by her mouth she whimpered softly, her eyes shifting in all directions.

Manta gave a couple glances behind him. a few other people had walked up from behind, seemingly for the same objective as he. He sighed. "I don't like crowds" Truthfully, he had noticed them long ago, but had hoped that their destination was not the same as his. It was his instinct to run and hide not out of fear, but just not to be seen; to not engage anyone else. He had assumed that his journey would be just him or at least one other person at the most. Fighting his natural instinct, he stayed where he was and proceeded to follow the tired looking woman that he had come for in the first place.

Yet inside she was like an excited schoolgirl getting her first books, wondering what she was going to be given. Gibles grew up to be kickass powerhouses and Poliwags were her most favoured Pokemon. She jammed her hands deeper into her pockets as she watched Chris leave, sighing at the thought of being alone. Even so, her turquoise pendant continued to glow- as if foreboding the events that were to follow. Yet its owner shrugged off the idea, quite used to the soft aura of the pendant. "Are we there yet?" she griped at last.

Willow threw open the door to the lab. "We're here!" she shouted loudly. You walk into a large, white room. Pokeballs line the wall. "Now, take your amulet, and press it against the wall, right here... OH!" A young lad burst into the room.
"Move over, I'm getting mine first!"
"Ack- who are you?"
"Um, hello? I'm Dillard, your nephew?"
"Um... I never really paid attention to what my sister did... Wait. She got married?" Dillard rolls his eyes, and you groan. You know this kid from town, if you live in the village. He's, in short, a pain in the a**. Combined with Willow's flightiness, this seemed like a recipie for disaster.
"DUH. Would I be here if she hadn't? Let me get my Pokemon!"
"Oh, now I remember that... Yeah. Well. I suppose I have to give you one, then..." You stare at the machines. Dillard places his amulet on the wall, and gears begin moving. The screen lets off a beep, and says, "D i l l a r d , i d e a l P o k e m o n i s E e v e e." The machine turns again, and a Pokeball pops out. He lets out a pretty silver fox-like creature, and grins.
"He looks really strong, Dillard! Who is next?"
((Feel free to post getting your Pokemon on your own, since you already know what it is, and transforming. Dillard can't, if you hadn't figured that out.))

There was a silence. Manta stepped forward. "I was here first!" He was surprised that he had volunteered. Normally he would have kept his distance and let the others go first. He walked up to the machine that the other boy had used. It looked a bit strange. The machines were in the wall as if they were a part of it. It was a few moments before the boy remembered what he had to do. He reached down at the amulet that had always been around his neck. He did not have to look, he knew where it was. He lifted it up to the indent in the wall and placed it inside. Just as before, the gears in the walls began moving. Manta wanted to back up. He didn't like loud noises, much less being the cause of them.
The screen next to him blinked on and immediatly spoke.
"Manta: Amulet Blue, Ideal Pokemon Is...Poliwag" The machine had a woman's voice and spoke almost as if she knew the boy. The machine turned its gears once more. His amulet still in the machine began to glow a bright blue. through the blinding light, he noticed right off that his amulet felt as though it would come off, as if someone was lifting it over his head. Looking up, Manta saw his amulet still in the indent being pulled away. With a pop it fell back down around him. But he now realized that he was shrinking! He looked towards the ground and saw it come closer. He couldn't help but remember reading the same thing happen to a girl named Alice in a book he had read once. When the ground no longer approached him, he looked back up. The screen with the female voice was much higher than before. He quickly looked around. It looked like everyone was staring at him. Why wouldn't they, he had shrunk. He tried to let out a yelp but instead looked down to avoid their glares. Upon looking down, he saw two blue feet. But these feet were barely visible past his large swirling stomach!

Linda looked down at the boy-Poliwag, petting it. She loved Poliwags. With a similar notion she placed her amulet into the indent as well. "Amulet: turquoise; ideal Pokemon: Dratini." The door slowly gave way and she squinted to make out the wriggling pink figure coming at her. When she came in contact with the scaly akin, her amulet began to tug, dropping from the indent. She shrank a bit, feeling an odd ringing in her ears as her limbs melted into her body. At long last she glanced up at the others, no longer human but a Dratini.

A young girl rolled over in her bed, trying to figure out why four names kept repeating themselves monotonously in her head. If I didn't know better, I'd say that it's actually my alarm clock trying to wake me up. Rochambeau rolled over and pulled the pillow over her head. In a somewhat comical fashion she suddenly lurched out of sleep...and out of her bed. "Ouch." she looked up at the clock. She had overslept and was now very late. She dressed, wrote a note to her parents, grabbed her backpack, which she had (thankfully) carefully packed last night, only pausing to quickly to make sure she had put her favorite jacket in it, and rushed out the door without breakfast saying to herself, "I can only hope that the Professor is later than I am." Then to herself thought, And she usually is. But that dream was the weirdest thing.
As she got to the cave she hoped to see a group of other people waiting for Professor Willow, but when she reached the place it was empty. Rochambeau clapped her hand on her head, ran her fingers through her blond hair and said, "There is fashionably late and there is unfashionably late, but I think that I'm ludicrously late now." She went into the cave towards the lab and arrived in time to see two people walk up to the wall, place their pendents there, and turn into pokemon themselves. Rochambeau stood dumbstruck at the poliwag and dratini now looking up at everyone from the floor. She looked at the wall then the others around her, then back at the wall again. Despite the change in the other two, she was so excited to get her own pokemon that she completely forgot the rules of etiquette and said, "Anybody mind if I try next?"
But she didn't wait for an answer. She straightened her shirt so that her biohazard symbol was smooth, walked over, carefully stepped around the pokemon on the floor, and walked up to the wall and stuck her pendent in the indent. Patricia Rochambeau: Amulet: Orange; Ideal Pokemon: Cleffa. Rochambeau glared at the wall when it said her first name, but then looked at the chute as a small pink ball with two green spikes rolled out. Rochambeau just stared, thinking, it's so cute and round and small, it's not like me at all. Why is this little guy my ideal pokemon? As she stared at the cleffa her pendent started to glow painfully bright, and she realized she was getting smaller, the same size as her new pokemon. Cleffa giggled at Rochembeau's expression as she tried to stand on her new legs. After a few tries Rochambeau just sat on the floor and did her best to shrug her shoulders in surrender.

Katherine watch the three go through this odd change into pokemon and it fascinated her but most of all frightened her. She stared intently at the machine and thought, 'With my luck, it won't happen to me, like that Dilly kid...' With that thought in her head she stepped in front of the machine and pressed the amulet around her neck into place. "Katherine Cross; Amulet, Pink; Ideal Pokemon; Ralts" then the machine released a pokeball but Kat didn't reach for it, she was to busy looking down at her amulet and crap, it was glowing. She closed her eyes tight as she felt her body shift. When she opened her eyes she was quite a bit lower to the floor and with a quick turn she was looking at a Poliwag, Dratini and Cleffa. She wobbled, whether it was because she was unsteady in her new form or just because she wanted to faint, who knows. Kat stumbled back but before falling to the ground she leaned against the wall. She tried thinking about a logical reason for all of this but her head was hurting, but not in the typical headache pains, it was like she could feel the negative emotions around her.

Long first post is looooong. I placed it in a spoiler tag to save space. It had been a long time since Seth slept like he had. He didn't sleep peacefully, that was for sure. He knew he had been dreaming, but what those dreams were, or what they were about eluded him. "A Drowzee must've gotten them..." he mumbled sleepily. He remembered his mother telling him that if you knew you dreamed but couldn't remember, that a Drowzee was the culprit. He yawned and sat up, and noticed his younger sister poking her head in through the doorway. She was grinning, as usual.
"You're really late," she told him. "You were supposed to leave a while ago." And with that, she ran away.
Seth looked at his alarm clock, or, rather, his absence of it. His sister probably took it. He knew that she didn't want him to leave, so she was probably trying to prevent him. He yawned again, and hastily got dressed in the nicest t-shirt he could find and his ripped jeans. He then put on his sneakers and picked up his bag. It was a good thing that Seth had packed the night before- he was prepared for his sister's shenanigans. He quickly dashed into the Kitchen to grab a sandwich, which he had also made the night earlier in case he was late, and started to eat. It wasn't the sandwich he had made earlier. The one he made earlier had a nice sweet jam on it, this one had sliced Cheri berries on it. He was starting to get irritated with his sister now, since spicy things sometimes made him sick. He stayed calm, though.
"All right, I'm going now," he called out, and was met with a hug from his sister.
"Please don't go," she begged. "It's lonely at home when Dad's out at work." Only Arceus knew where their mother had gone. Last time Seth had heard, she was at a distant region called Unova or something.
"I'll be fine," he reassured her, and his sister let go. She had tears in her eyes, but she didn't say anymore. "All right, now I'm really going. Be a good girl, and take care of Dad for me," he said, and he dashed outside.
After a long search, Seth had finally found Willow's Lab. When he arrived, he saw a few faces that were vaguely familiar, and... some Pokemon on the ground. It was strange to see that each of the Pokemon were coloured differently to the Pokemon that he was used to seeing. For instance, he was pretty sure that Dratini from Kaspæn were coloured Pink, which was a rarity in most other regions, but this one was blue, like he had read was normal for the species. He dismissed this, since they were starters. Maybe they were given away like this to be special or something. He took a good look at each Pokemon. They were pretty alright for starters. Okay, they were kind of cute, but he wasn't going to say anything like that, not out loud. After a pause, he decided to speak anyway, though not about what he thought of the other Pokemon. "Uh, do you mind if I take mine next?" he asked, not sure if there was some kind of order or not.
He didn't wait too long for an answer. He placed his amulet in the socket in the wall, and almost jumped when the gears in the wall began to move. Almost. A screen beeped, and a voice spoke "SETH AUSBRUCH, AMULET: SILVER. IDEAL POKEMON:" there was a long pause. Actually, there wasn't a pause at all, but Seth's mind was whirring with so much anticipation that the next word seemed to take forever to say. "ARON." Aron! They were pretty cool! And they were kind of cute as well (not that it mattered).
Seth watched as his first Pokemon's Pokeball rolled out of the machine, and he took his Amulet out of the socket. He was about to walk over to retrieve it when he noticed how much his Amulet was glowing. It was hot to touch, as well. Suddenly, Seth felt his body become heavy, and he closed his eyes as he fell over. As he hit the ground, he realized two things: He had remembered that dream he had, and that when his body hit the ground, it made a 'clang' noise. Bodies don't usually make a 'clang' noise when they hit things. He opened his eyes and tried to stand back up, only to find that he couldn't. His body was too heavy. What was going on? He looked about himself, only to find that he... wasn't human anymore.
