This is the Heiwana region. This peaceful region is filled with new trainers, potential rivals, and wondrous pokemon. Start your journey here and get ready to train your very own pokemon, make friends and rivals, and even meet a legendary pokemon or two.

Welcome to the Heiwana Region!

Plot: Witnesses report The legendary pokemon, Celebi has wreaked havoc deep in a nearby forest. Rumors of a new organization, conducting experiments on the pokemon of the same forest has been spreading. Legendary Pokemon from other regions have been seen in the Heiwana region, possibly to correct the problem. But it doesn't sound like they can do it alone.

Gameplay: The RPG will start when I have accepted you. Keep in mind that if you are a newcomer, you cannot simply run around intervening in people's RPs.

You will start in Cherry town. once you have woken up, feel free to leave to the egg hatchery for you first pokemon. A pokedex will be given to you and three random pokemon will come forth to greet you. After picking your one pokemon, you are free to look for a battle with other trainers and wild pokemon. Please do not go to the next route until details about it are given though.

I'll play numerous NPCs. I will set up each area before you write your posts for that area so make sure you read the other posts to see where the RP is at current time. I am in charge of if you catch a wild pokémon or not. You can fight the wild Pokemon, up until the point you throw the Pokéball. You will then end your post with a Bolded "Pokeball" away from the last paragraph and I will decide if you were successful or not depending on the quality of your post.

Your pokemon will be a random basic stage pokemon, which can range from the weakest of weak to the strongest of strong. I will randomly select all participant's starter pokemon. If you had asked for a specific type, then i will incorporate one in the random generator.(Increased chances)

Rules:

-NO OCCs POSTS ALLOWED If you are in need of posting an OCC quesiton or if you are joining for the first time, post here.
This thread is for RP only, no OCC at all.
-No legendaries will be allowed in this rpg other than the ones I have you encounter. If your rp battles are impressive enough, i might have a legendary, fitting your character's nature, meet you. You will receive a very useful item from them. (i won't tell you what it is yet)
-Stay Active! It’s a very important part of an RPG, if you are going to be unable to post for a while, PM me, so I know why you aren’t posting and won’t kick you out. I want to keep going for as long as possible
- If you are finding an item (i.e. a TM/hold item), like you would for throwing a pokeball or having a wild encounter, please put the word in bold away from the main paragraph so i may see it. I will then decide what the item is and inform you.
-If you happen to run into another participating rper, stick to what each person is doing. (like if one is in a battle, post watching it before intervening)
-Other than that just follow the basic forum rules and keep it pg13
-Shiny pokemon can be found just as easily in the rp as they would be in the video games. Shinies will be much harder to catch than normal pokemon. If you have a ball that could help (like a fast ball or moon ball) then that would be your best bet. There is no limit to how many shiny pokemon you may encounter but remember that they are difficult to encounter.


Additional rules/Nuances

-Eggs have a 1 in 2000 chance of being twins. Just like with normal eggs that can sometimes have two yolks, a single egg may hatch into two pokemon.
-Each pokemon gym can have its own rules. One gym might be one on one but the next could very well be a double battle.
-You may challenge a gym leader more than once, whether you win or not for experience.
-experience isn't automatically given. pokemon that simply sit in your party do not level up. Those that fight more will gain the experience.
-The pokemon given by NPC's and your starter will grow slightly faster than other pokemon.
-If an npc or gym battle goes well enough, a tm or special item may be given
- If you catch a ride-able pokemon, after level 30, you may ride the pokemon and take up to 1/3 the time out of travels. (doduo, ponyta, drifblim ) if you have a question about eligible pokemon, please pm me^^
-If your pokemon evolves with a trade and/or item, you may substitute the trade part for max friendship (with the exception of shelmet and kerrablast)
-Pokemon eggs will hatch at a time relative to the pokemon contained inside (i randomize before hatching)
-The nature of pokemon are subject tochange upon evolution. (like the anime) A timid caterpie may evolve into an adamant metapod.
-As long as they don't contradict each other, a pokemon may have both its primary and secondary ability.
- There are more than 8 gyms (like in the anime's Kanto region) However, you only need 8 badges to qualify for the pokemon league.

"Veee!"
Manta opened his eyes. His pet Eevee sitting beside him, urging him to wake up.
"Hey, Leuleu" Leucion was his eevee, given to him by his mom as an egg a few weeks earlier.
"Guess it's time to get up." Manta got out of bed changed his shirt and flew down the stairs. " Mom, i'm up from my nap, i'm going to be ready to get my pokemon soon!" there was a silence.His mother and father must have been outside already giving away new trainer's pokemon. Eevee hopped up on Manta's shoulder. "No Leuleu, you can't come." Eevee seemed disapointed as it hopped off. "Don't worry, i'll come back and see you soon. Eevee smiled and walked off. Manta Grabbed his backpack, and ran out of the house. Pidgey were filling the sky and patrat were staring at him from a distance. "Today, i get my first pokemon." He smiled all the way down stairs. He opened the door to see over a dozen children greeting pokemon. some of them weren't old enough to receive one today, but came anyway to see the pokemon. There was a gated pen, almost like a petting zoo with a space for every type of pokemon to relax comfertably. He walked through the pen to the entrance (since it was his house) his mom had just finished giving a pokedex to a young girl. He couldn't tell which pokemon she had gotten as it was already in it's pokeball. He tapped his mother on the shoulder to draw her attention.

To Both: A woman in a large apron and large blue dress turned around. She had just finished giving another child their pokemon. "Hello Manta, it's nice to see you're awake! And you have a friend, how lovely." She pulled out two pokedexs. "For those of you who don't know," She was speaking to all the children now. "My name is Belle and my husband run this Farm. Since the professor has been busy these few months, we are in charge of the trainer's first pokemon distribution." She handed Manta and Aquila a pokedex each. "Use these to learn more about your pokemon choices. Now you two just sit over here and wait for the pokemon to come to you." She guided them to an empty space, separate from the other children. You may choose your first pokemon from the ones that come to you."


@ Aquila: When the girl sat down, a mienfoo immediately walked from a crowd of other fighting pokemon in a corner. It did not hesitate to come closer to the girl who towered over it. A wooper timidly climbed out of the nearby man-made pond and inched its way over. It seemed to only have the courage after it had deemed the situation safe. There was a bit of a a silence before a third pokemon came forth. An emolga hopped on the head of another pokemon and then hopped off, gliding its way quickly besides the awaiting girl.

@ Manta: As Manta sat down, a ralts meekly walked its way forward. Before it could get get there, a staryu hopped out of the water and spun its way to manta's feet. As ralts finally made its way to Manta, a surskit glided its way over the water in a rush to get to Manta. It seemed to want to show off its gliding skills to the watching children.

@ Kismet: Ms. Belle was overjoyed that the girl chose her pokemon. "That pokemon suites you perfectly! I believe that pokemon comes with the egg move, tickle." She handed the girl five pokeballs. "Take these for your journey as well. you'll need them if you'd like to catch more pokemon." she pulled out another. " Oh, and here is one especially for your pokemon. I do apologize that the professor couldn't make it, but i'm sure you will see him later on your journey." She smiled. "Why don't you hang around the town and get to know the other trainers as well as your pokemon."

Me- Manta saw the three ppokemon before him. The surskit didn't seem too interested in him but more in his popularity with the screaming children. Staryu had a nice gem in its middle and the ralts was incredibly cute. He picked up the ralts who surprisingly didn't flinch and carried it to his mom. "I choose this one!"

@ Manta: "Hmm? i thought you would have wanted to take Leuleu. Your brother and sister took their eevee with them. " She seemed a bit dissapointed. "Well i suppose you can alqwways have him join you later." She handed him six pokeballs. "You have seen this plenty of times now, one is for ralts and the others are for wild pokemon. That ralts has shadow sneak as an egg move. We'll be in other towns delivering eggs in a week, maybe we can see you again then. I think your sister is still in town too. Why don't you say hi to her?"

Jackson awoke and realized what time it was, he was running late to get his new Pokemon! He jumped up and pulled on some underwear and a pair of pants. He pulled a shirt over his head and put on clean new socks. "Gaaaaah!" he yelled, brushing his teeth quickly and running to the Pokemon Egg Farm. He ran back to grab his backpack that he'd forgotten.

He ran all the way to the Cherry Town Egg Hatchery, a large Pokefarm devoted to hatching Pokemon eggs for new trainers in the Heiwana region. "I'm.....I'm here," he panted. "T-to get my P-pokemon!"

@ Jackson Ms Belle heard yelling from the distance. A small boy came panting to the farm. "Oh hello!" She said. "I am Ms. Belle and my family runs this hatchery. You must be here for your first pokemon!" She reached into her bag and fished out a red device. This is a pokedex, use this to learn more about your pokemon." She looked up in realization. "Speaking of pokemon, feel free to go over to the other side of the farm to choose your pokemon." She guided him to area. The place had a pond, a field, a few trees, and even a small cave built in. It was perfect for virtually any type of pokemon. " Choose wisely, for the pokemon you choose will be your partner on this journey"

Jackson accepted the Pokedex and smiled, then walked with her to an interesting area, filled with trees, and a pond, a field, and a cave. This place was enormous! He sat down and crossed his legs, observing the area. The part of the field where he sat had soft grass and many flowers, which gave off a sweet aroma. While he waited patiently, he imagined his new Pokemon partner and the many battles and contests in which they would compete in.

@ Jackson A shinx and a buizel walked forward at the same time, bumping into each other in the process. They didn't acknowledge each other while doing so. Just before reaching Jackson, a natu hopped over both of them, becoming the first to greet jackson.

Alarm clock blaring, Leaf got out of bed. Unlike most days, where she would take 30 minutes or so to get ready for the day, today she was excited, which caused this process to take only half of the time.Throwing on jeans,flip-flops and a purple t-shirt, Leaf raced out the door and hopped onto her bike. She started heading towards the Hatchery with her blonde hair flowing behind. arriving at the Hatchery, she dismounted her bike and went to sit beside a tree, waiting for someone to come, as well as watching all the pokemon play out in the nearby fields.

Kaiser was watching through the window of his room as he ate his possibly, last breakfast in the house. The day had finally come, he would get his pokemon today and begin his journey. He was exited, but managed to control himself as he ate and watched TV. When he was done, he got his backpack and walked downstairs. He put the dish in the dishwasher, and said the goodbyes to his parents just before leaving. He walked all the way through Cherry town and up to the egg hatchery where he saw three pokemon coming at him...

@Kaiser- A barboach splached out of the water and towards kaiser. it was almost stepped on by the tauros that had walked up next to it. The tauros looked more curious aat the new person than anything else. Finally, out of the cave, a Druddigon came out. Slowly, it walked it's way to the human.

Kaiser looked at the three pokemon, even when the barboach seemed rather friendly, it was not a pokemon he liked. He then saw two more pokemon, a curious Tauros and a Duddrigon who appraoched him. He smiled at both pokemon, he liked both. He did not know what to do, both pokemon were friendly, but he wasn't sure which one he liked the most. He looked at them, the big bull and the blue dragon "hey" he said to both, patting their heads, both pokemon seemed to like him. He entered the Hatchery and asked for an attendant to help him, he needed a little help now...

Ms. Belle came over to the confused boy. "Do you need help choosing a pokemon? i can give you a little bit of a hint." She sat down next to the boy. " That barboach has a naughty nature. It likes to leave slime on land and watches pokemon slip in it. The tauros has a bit of a crush on my Miltank, Millie. I believe he has a gentle nature. And although druddigon needs to warm it's body in the sun, this one hides from other pokemon in caves. it has a timid nature. after you choose a pokemon, i can tell you its egg move." She smiled. "Do you have an idea as to which pokemon you would like?"
