Ahh that's what I thought about it but I still decided to suggest it.
I am just tired of my first page always being full of member clubs/forum games that I do not care for anymore.

oh, i'm sorry. you meant the screen you get when you click on "show your posts" through the upc, didn't you? i thought you meant the link from your profile page, which shows them in reverse chronological order (most recent posts first).
still, though, the list you're talking about displays in order of most recently-updated topic. again, you'd have to delete the thread, your posts, or the forum the thread is in to get rid of them.

Not sure if anyone's suggested this, but I just wanted to mention a possible addition to the BBcoding options on this site.
The one I'm really rooting for is the ability to align your images to the left or right.
Code:
[imgleft][/imgleft]
[imgright][/imgright]

In this way, users wouldn't have to break down images into different components to organize their threads or signatures.

Another suggestion I have is for our Private Messaging system. It would be nice to have a "saved box" for certain PMs users would like to keep. I do realize this might take up space, but let me know what you think.

Thanks for reading. :>

You can create folders to serve this purpose! <3

How about Store Feedback threads?
It'd be nice to have my own thread for people to say if my store is good or bad. It's also a good way for other people to see if another store is really trustworthy, quick with trades, good prices, etc.

i honestly dont think this would be a good idea because alot of people would get mad because of the way you rate their shop and it could cause alot of problems

Eh, I think it can equals out when you put it that way.
If you don't like a store than you should be able to say so in a feedback thread.
Or maybe the owner can simple request for positive feedback? You know, for people to say "this person has great prices" "good timing".

that'd probably cause more drama than it's worth.
besides, if a person requests only positive feedback, you can guarantee that people will, at most, say something like "great store!" or something similarly unhelpful and cursory. the only way to get actually useful feedback would be to ask for constructive criticism, and there are a million ways for that to end badly.

Eh, Good point.

I don't know if phpBB supports customizable BB-code where you can have it parsed as CSS/HTML (I typically use a different forum provider), but if so (and if this suggestion is what I think it is) I'm totally on board with this. Making the float attribute available would be really awesome. c:

It does, but we have it disabled. Allowing HTML would also allow people to embed malicious code (e.g. viruses/spyware).

I explained badly. orz I wouldn't expect you guys to enable HTML on the forums as I'm aware of the risks. What I meant is that some forum services let you make custom BB-code. I have this working on a test forum:
[img=right]url[/img]
is interpreted as:
<img style="float:right;" src="url" />

I'm guessing that's not an option by your response, though. :c I wasn't sure as phpBB is the one forum service I've never tried. Thanks for responding, Shiro<3~ and sorry for my failure at explaining things.

Admins can make custom bbcode (center, right, spoiler, strike are all custom), yeah! Sorry for misinterpreting. I interpreted that as letting users make their own custom BBcode which would be the same as allowing HTML. We don't actually have anything for image alignment, though, hm. I'll think about it!

Could we get a generation VI sub-section for speculation and such, much like how it was for Gen V?

Please use the general Pokémon section for it for now. There's too little info on Gen IV as of right now (as far as we know it's just 3 starters and 2 legends, no reason to believe it's a full lineup yet).

There was some press release thing about there being over 700 pokemon in the pokedex xome the new game. (people were all over the 666 thing) So i'm sure that there will be a full line up.

I'm not sure if this has been suggested or not but I think it would be beneficial to clean up the forums. I know it's a huge task at first but I've been on other sites where they have someone assigned to clean things up once a week with success. What I mean is deleting the old tradebacks, auctions, buying threads that are no longer necessary. Any of those that would be necro-ing aren't necessary. This could also apply to games, no one needs the 2000 pages in between of count to 5000. Games like pokemon alphabet could be a part of why some pokemon names can't be searched. Also old threads in games that can't be used without being necro-ed. Perhaps in the help section or suggestion section have an ongoing list on the first page of all previously asked questions linked to their thread. This keeps people from double posting on topics that have been buried. By keeping the forums cleaned up you'll prevent unnecessary necro-ing, raise efficiency when looking for topics and possibly fix the problem in the search section where it cancels out too many words (I'm sure many are from the auctions, tradebacks and buying sections). :yay:

that sounds like a lot of work, and it doesn't really...seem necessary. old trades and auctions can be useful (admittedly, only to a point) in determining values for pokémon, and i think that, even discounting the games forum, most pokémon names are common enough that they wouldn't be searchable.

a list of previously asked questions and suggestions would similarly be unnecessary. just looking at the front page of the suggestions topics, i can see quite a few that are directly addressed in the "don't suggest these" topic. most of the time, the answers to help questions are given in the guidebook or are otherwise easily researched--a recently asked questions post would just be another thing that wouldn't get read.

i can't say i'd be against cutting the games forum from search results, though, but i don't think that's possible.
