ev training (the stat-raising trials) for high-level pokémon seems to have a high success rate, and since most pokémon on vdex have little to no evs, it's a relatively easy way to rack up a lot of successes. the same goes for polishing off contest stats for pokémon that can compete in advanced trials but haven't maxed the stat out yet--by that point, they're all but guaranteed to succeed.

Can monthly evolution goals be kept? They're not hard at all if you use a few caterpie/weedle and the battle system, so if it was a high number it could still be done. I'd really like a monthly evolution goal.

Nah, they were nuked for good. Too many unnecessary catches due to those, too.

Hmm, since Moomoomilk doesn't give out PP, would feeding pokemon moomoomilk X times be a possible goal? Or is that even kept track of?

I think that's a great idea! It'd finally make all those moomoo milks useful for something.

MooMoo Milk is already useful for something. I don't plan on attaching it to goals, either, since a lot of people don't even bother with battling and thus don't have easy access to them.

I have a suggestion involving the amount of time until a new goal can be set.

Perhaps when you finish a daily goal, the amount of time left over could be deducted from the monthly and weekly time you still have until you can choose another one. This will mean both incentive to work on goals and more interest in the goal system I believe. Same goes for when you complete a weekly goal. The time left over could be deducted from the monthly. But the weekly time cannot be deducted on the daily. (To prevent more than one daily goal.)

So if you do lots of daily goals, you're not only rewarded with GP, but a smaller wait period for a harder goal.

However, this might mean an increase in the amount of GP it takes to acquire GP items. But that's up to Shiro to decide. :D

If this doesn't make sense I apologize. ^^; It's late. I can elaborate.

That would give players who can complete a goal in minutes a huge edge - since they would be able to set a new goal within the same amount of minutes.

I failed a weekly goal for the first time. I wasn't able to catch 12 Pokémon with a sprite that isn't HGSS, HGSS2 or BW. I ended up with only 7/12. Some weeks I just don't have the time to refresh over and over and over again to find retros. :uhh:

I found this one frustrating.

Some of them will be frustrating, yeah. There will eventually be a way to reset weekly/monthly goals so you can ditch the ones you can't finish on time.

will it be possible to fix the confirm/cancel goal button, so you can't mis-click and cancel a goal instead of completing it? the x/v icons are kinda tiny and close to each other.

There's a confirmation pop-up when you click them, though. Confirming without reading isn't a misclick.

Darn...didn't think that one through. I thought I was onto something. :uhh: Thanks for the feedback though~ :yay:

Not sure if I missed something, but it told me I ran out of time on a Weekly Goal and had to cancel, so I did, but I can't set a new Weekly Goal, yet. I would think that, if I ran out of time on the goal, I'd be able to get a new one right away, since the week to achieve the previous goal was already finished.

This may sound silly, but did you refresh the page? I just tested this and had no problems. How long does it say you have to wait before you can set a new goal?

Unfortunately, it does seem to have reset now. I don't remember what the time left was when I cancelled the other one. It wasn't very long. Maybe several hours at most with a few minutes tacked on. I wasn't able to sign on and check again until now. I'll keep an eye on it and post if it happens again. Sorry about that.

Don't know if this has been asked before, but does catching a Pokemon with a shiny ball count for the "catch a shiny" goal? I'd honestly rather it didn't (I... I like a challenge -_-), but I don't know if that would be a permissible possibility if someone were running out of time for that particular goal. (I got it as a monthly goal, though, so I'm fine with refreshing for it. Just curious.)

No, it doesn't count. Catching one with a Sparkle Ball, however, does.

I'm not really sure if I should post it here, but... When you complete a goal, it goes to your completed goal section (under the: "You have completed these goals" header), but after you reload/revisit the page, no goals are listed.... I'm a little confused?
